BEWARE WARNING!!!!!!!!! DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL!!!! \r Ucas is the worst cosmetology school anyone could ever go to. I had previous hours from another school so the time spent here was short. We never had products for clients, clients were constantly being turned away. And the instructors, don't get me started. They gossip about the students and each other, for my last 400 hours we didn't even have an instructor! There was a director who doubled as an instructor for the salon side, and I don't know if that goes against Tdlr. We were only given busy work, roller sets and perms, to keep us busy. I didn't learn anything new, in fact I had to teach many of the students techniques because the instructor(s) would become frustrated and impatient. And the kit is awful, it's $1000 and it's probably only worth about $200. All they want is money they don't care about the students. Don't go to this school, don't send your kids to this school. They have an 11% graduation rate, I don't know how they are still accredited. more

I'm currently going to this school and it is the BEST school ever...the instructors are very helpful and the student teachers...the students get along with each other and if there is a problem the instructors always have a one on one with u and listen to u...I have the same instructor ever since I started and Mrs. Gray is the best <3 more

UCAS GRADUATE 10/10/2010

WELL, I JUST GRADUATE FROM UCAS IN JULY AND ALL I CAN SAY IS YES WE WENT THRU DIFFRENT INSTRUCTORS BUT THAT'S ON ANY SCHOOL I FIRST STARTED AT ANOTHERSCHOOL AND I WAS THERE FOR 3 MONTHS AND I HAD 5 DIFFERENT INSTRUCTORS BUT AT UCAS THEY DO HAVE FLEXIBLES SCHEDULES YOU CAN GO ON MONDAYS AND SATURDAYS TO MAKE UP HRS AND TO PRACTICE YOUR MINI-BOARD, ALSO YES THEY DO HAVE NEW STAFF FROM DIRECTOR TO ADMISSIONS AND THEY HAVE MADE A DIFFRENCE, IF YOU ARE INTRESTED IN ESTHETICS I FEEL SORRY FOR THE REST OF THE SCHOOLS IN SAN ANTONIO BUT UCAS NACO HAVE THE BEST INSTRUCTOR IN ESTHETICS .I HAVE LEARNED A LOT MORE THAN SOME OF MY FRIENDS HAVE IN OTHER SCHOOLS IN SAN ANTONIO ""UCAS NACO IS THE BEST""!!!!!!!! more

The school is very unorganized as far as schedules and curriculum. The turnover for instructors are horrible. The time I was there I went through at least four instructor because they all quit or got fired. If you don't speak spanish with the staff you get treated like an outsider. As much you pay for tuition they never have all the supplies you need to perform the services. The rules at the school change quite often as far as dress code and daily rules. I regret going to this school and will never recommend this facility to anyone. I didnt learn anything i already knew."" more

this school is not as bad as people are putting it on these reviews....they do have a lot to work on as far as inventory and having enough supplies for us (ie hair color, shampoo, etc...) but the teachers there have been very helpful, they try to help you pass the stateboard exam, every monday we have mini board which is a practice of the practical state board , this really helps out a lot :)...they are pretty flexible with your schedule and they accomodate to your needs and they really do try to work with you. more

times have changed 3/29/2009

After reading these reviews I have to say times sure have changed. I graduated from SABC in 1989 and it wasn't near as bad as now. It's unfortunate the students are not their #1 priority as they should be. With enough of these reviews maybe they'll get it together or close down. I have my own salon now and am doing quite well so their is still hope for those who graduated or are going to graduate soon.......... Pros: yes Cons: no more
