the BEST College on the East Coast. 8/31/2005

I honestly feel that University of Louisville is the best college on the East Coast. The grounds are always kept clean and well landscaped. The teachers are highly qualified and tuition isnt to bad. They offer financial assistance and student loans are available. There are several hundred parking spots so none arent to bad. Located in the heart of Kentucky's largest city, The Univ. of Lou. (U of L) gives students a unique advantage; an indepth classroom education paired with relevant, hands-on wxperience with businesses and agencies in a thriving metropolitan community. Founded in 1798 by President James R. Ramsey. More than 1.9 volumes of books in the library. U of L alumni are leaders in all aspects of the community and nation, including two current U.S. Senators. The faculty is nationally know for excellence in advancing medical knowledge, teaching business entreprenuers, preparing teachers and other fields. more

Great School in a Great Town 8/15/2005

The University of Louisville is an excellent place to attend college! I spent several wonderful years there before transferring to a smaller college closer to my family, thus I can easily compare UofL to smaller schools. The instructors at UofL are top-notch. Most classes have very lively discussions and professors tend to encourage class participation instead of straight lectures. I had very few giant lecture classes, despite what many people fear when thinking of attending a large college. In fact, very few of my classes included more than 20 or 30 people and many were much smaller. This was a better ratio than I even had in high school. Campus life was a little on the dull side unless you lived in a dorm or belonged to a fraternity or sorority. I would personally recommend living in a dorm for at least a year or two to get the full college experience. They are pretty nice as far as dorms go, and you’ll never again meet such a wide array of people. more

Great University 7/20/2005

This university is nicely landscaped with wonderful old buildings. The programs they offer are great, especially their medical program. It's one of the top programs around. The staff is helpful and friendly. The campus is big, but they give you a map to help you find where you need to go. They have a parking garage you can use while attending the campus. If you are into athletics, they have a wonderful programs for that. more
