The absolute worst doctors (quacks)! There is NO sense of urgency at this hospital. The only way you will be seen in the ER is if you are dead! They entire staff need to be fired. My dad died here after waiting 12 hours to be seen in distress and extreme trouble breathing. After he was almost next to dead, they decided to take him back. The doctor came in the room and told us he was very sick. No sh*t Sherlock...that is why we were here 12 hours ago when he wasn't as bad as he is now. I am just able to right this from this happening in April 2018. Just remember if you are looking for a place to kill you this is the right place for you. From the ER to the doctors - American and Foreign (who only care about their citizenship here), to most of the nurses, and the entire protocol and operations of the hospital. I was forced to choose 1 star for the rating. more

The care givers at UAMS show a total lack of interest in the patients welfare, recovery, or treatment. There are some very nice staff at UAMS who do a great job but the so called specialist jump to conclusions, have nurse practitioners treat patients while billing the insurance as the care giver and become angry if you ask to see the real doctor because your not getting any better. My opinion is to seek a hospital that cares. more

After giving birth at this hospital and being totally dissatisfied, I have been recommended against this hospital multiple times by health care practitioners. It is a teaching hospital, and no matter the condition of the patient, the residents and interns are a little too excited to use their "toys". They did several procedures and used several measures on both me and my child that not only did I feel were unnecessary, but also found out later that could have put us in very serious risk. more
