We recently bought our first home with Lennar and used their preferred mortgage company, UAMC. We wanted to go through a friend of mine, but due to some unique circumstances with our home (income restricted purchase, working with the city as well), we could not.
At first, everything was great. Our initial contact was very thorough and fiendly, answering our many questions throughout the application and approval process.
As soon as we got passed off to the senior loan officer, things went downhill fast. We were contacted at the last minute frequently to bring in paperwork, we were told one thing and then it would change, and our questions were left unanswered or dodged by changing the subject.
In the end, everything worked out okay, but we are paying a higher interest rate than my friend was able to get for us. Plus, we just did not have a good experience. I would not use UAMC again, even if they did have the best rates, which for us they did not.
