I have had a personal debt collection business with this agency in April after my tenant got eviction from a judgement. I mailed full detailed documents to one of the collector. One week later, I received a letter from him, but I found out he sent me a wrong letter which was actually sending to my tenant. I called him immediately to let him know that he made a mistake. Since then, he had no contact with me. Three months later, I thought that he was following my case, so I sent couple emails to him to update the progress. However, he had never replied to me. I felt something wrong, so I called the company to find out what's going on? It is almost six months. Another collector told me that I have never had any record/information in the company. Also, the guy who took care of my case, was not working in the office anymore. I tried to ask about my case... He felt frustrated then he hanged up on me. Two hours later, another collector called me (I left a message to let him call me back). After we had a short conversation, he promised that he would call me back on Monday. Today is Friday night. He has never call me back to follow up my case. I thought that they could help me to collect all the money back from my tenant. I did regret!!! I did waste my time to wait for their result, but got nothing!!! Don't do the business with this agency!!! Because they don't care about you. Totally ignore YOU!!! Just waste your time to get nothing!!! more

I was fortunate and able to pay my small balance as soon as I returned the call. Walt was professional, though I did not have to dispute or make special arrangements on the bill. My only beef with them is that they called 3 times back-to-back and did not identify themselves as a collections agency, only by Walt's name. Also, their answering greeting does not identify them as a collections agency, only as "United." As far as I can tell, this is not an authorized way to contact a consumer. They have to identify themselves as a collections agency the first time they contact you. more

I will not go in to detail with my horror story about United but I will say if you have a medical bill that you owe the in most cases the hospital will take your payment without the interest regardelss of how old it is. You don't have to bullyied by this business. And if you make payment at the original place you recieved services. This organization doesn't get your money, then they loose money and will hopefully and eventually go out of business. I too have received many rude, degrading, yelling, and threatening phone calls from United Collections. I've been refused a copy of my bill, refused payment plans and been hung up when I questioned them regarding the laws & my rights. WA state has a 3 year statue on what can be collected on. If you bell is 3+ years old, it's too old to be collected on and has to be written off. I strongly suggest everyone to get a book called "Debt Cures, what they don't want you to know about" by Kevin Tredau. Do NOT own up to any debt until after you have read this book. It does wonders and explains OUR rights and what UCS has to do. Pros: worst collections agency I've ever heard about Cons: refuse to work with people, just want money more

i just started receiving calls from this agency. i have never dealt with such a rude company. I advised them ~ would check with the original creditor and at that point they started harassing me. I even advised that I was trying to take care of the issue and they didn't have to treat me that way. Dave didn't want to hear and threatened suit as well as saying he didn't have to accept in terms of agreement. OK! so why are you calling me besides HARASSING me over 200 dollars I would make arrangemets to pay. What a joke! more

Yesterday I was treated horribly by LISA. She told me that I had a judgment against me from 2 years ago. She said they served my papers to my parents front door step. I didn't live there!!! Hmm when I asked for a case number she cut me off and asked if I was gonna pay my bill or not? I said let me do some research! SHE HUNG UP ON ME!! I can't believe they are aloud to talk to people that way. I'm a struggling single mom and now my bill as trippled due to the legal fees. All I want to do is get to the bottom of this problem so I can slowly resolve it. These jerks get commission everytime they fool us into paying the full amount. Iam late one on my rent so I get call from this collection agency and he starts treating me like sh*t so I tell him that this is not hows it gonna- I will send the money, and he will stop being an a**hole. Then all this wierd stuff happens- i get wrong bills, they charge me stuff, and getting it fixed is a nightmare. Even after I send the money this guy David is hassling me. Just morons, no life. these people are like locust. i hired them to collect some bills from my hotel, and it was fine at first, but they were so rude, so stupid, so irritating to deal with. I was owed quite a bit of money, and now i have very little of it. it was like being a dentist to get anything out of them, and then when they did get some money they didn't want to give it me. this man i talk too treated me so bad i think he has never had a woman his whole life. totally unbelievable. These guys are bottom feeders. Especially "Dave". So ok... I screwed up and I didn't pay a medical bill after an accident. I wanted to pay my bill in full, but the moment i asked for anything in writing, "Dave" threatened to suit me and ruin my credit over a $500 bill. PETTY! He is so rude and unhelpful. He could of gotten all of "his" cash in a few short days if he worked with me. Now I hope he doesn't get a cent of it. I called to United Collections because I received a collections notice for a bill I did not know about. I had moved recently and had not known I owed any money; My car insurance should have paid for the total amount due. As soon as I got the notice I called to let United know that I was unaware the bill had not been paid and I would be working on it to get resolved as soon as possible. The man who answered the phone was so rude, and condescending. I believe that this person takes pleasure in being mean to people. He truly sounded happy when I became upset, actually laughing at my distress. I called another day and got someone else, that man was even worse! I have heard rumors about how mean collection agency reps can be, these rumors are true for the employees at United Collections service INC in Tukwila WA.
