Look no further. My search for the PERFECT salon has ended and yours can as well. I had been frustrated beyond words in my attempt to find a new stylist. Having been treated very rudely by a stylist at my former salon after years of faithful patronage, I decided to find someone new. I had been to several places - some were good but waaaaaaay too expensive and others - well, they were horrible. Some stylists were insufferable snobs. Yo! I don't need attitude when I am paying YOU. There really isn't anything fancy about Unique - which, in my book, is a good thing. I walked in and there was a MAN - and a very handsome one at that. Handsome men - also good. Another handsome man appeared and then I was also greeted warmly by the proprietress. This place is FUN. There is no snobbery here. If you like paying $275 for haircut, color and highlights just to have someone offer you a half-glass of bad wine, fine. Here, I can schlep the the liquor store right in the plaza, buy my own d@mned wine and SAVE SO MUCH MONEY! You will not believe the prices here. But great value means nothing if the work is bad. But it's not. Manta is amazing. David is wonderful too. The atmosphere is noisy, friendly and upbeat. I LOVE IT! I have found new home. Pros: Amazing value for dollar, excellent service more

I'm an inpatient and a spur of the moment type of woman. So on a Sunday afternoon I decide I want my hair foiled, cut and styled. I was tired of my prior hairdresser with her lazy attitude and talks of parting every night (hence the three inches of roots) I searched the Internet and found this place to be open on a Sunday. Called scheduled an appointment and not only was it the fastest foil/color and cut/styled I ever received but it was an extremely good job. I had high and low lights put in cut two inches off all around and then styled in less than one and a half hours. She was amazing; my hair looks great and the real kicker here. It was less than a hundred dollars. I was so impressed I had to write a review, which I never do. Oh plus she gave me two cups of coffee. Excellent service my hair looks great! Monta the owner is amazing, she is very hip and very talented. They cater to a very wide range. There are the regular little blue hairs that come to the one elderly gentleman hair dresser every week. My mom had a cute do and I asked her where she got it done. I had just moved back to the area and went back to my old salon. I got an inexperienced hairdresser that did and OK job. Cut, and Color (single process) cost me $160! Monta was 1/2 the price for a much better job. David, one of her other stylists has blown me out, and frankly he is fantastic! The salon is nothing fancy but if you need wine and candles to get your hair done, then maybe you should spend $160. Unique is worth recommending and I tell everyone about them. I drive all the way from west chester ever 8 weeks to get my hair done by Her. Its worth the drive! Pros: Great hair styling great value Cons: Not a fancy atmosphere, but then again you don't have to pay for the fancy atmosphere! more
