Great place to get a European import Pros: Beer selection more

Fun little pub (just not truly British) 9/17/2007

Great beer selection, jukebox has electic mix. Darts and pool tables available as well. It gets pretty crowded on the weekends, especially when school is in session. I like to go after work on a weeknight - sit around the bar , talk to the regulars, try different beers. I heard the best bar story ever here (something about a monkey in Guantanamo Bay on a 50-cab machine gun going crazy) - it's that kind of place. Talk to the person sitting next to you. I just avoid it on weekends - too crazy, service gets slow, and just not my pace. Pros: I like to go on weeknights when it's less crowded Cons: bathrooms are so small you can barely turn around more

Great little pub 4/18/2006

Union Jacks is a small "eroupean-feel" pub. I've been there quite a few times. It has an excellent selection of beers and a nice atmosphere. The bartenders are nice, but if it is crouded, it may take a few minutes to get a beer. There are darts and 2 pool tables. The only negative is that the restrooms are small. Great little pub to stop and have a drink or two. Pros: Great beer selection, Nice atmosphere Cons: Slow service, Small restrooms more

Nothing "British" about this pub 2/13/2006

When my British husband (who was a pub landlord) first relocated to TN, everyone told him he HAD to go to the British pub, Union Jack's. Bloody hell, we were disappointed. There's nothing authentic about this place other than the flag outside. When we asked about the British connection, we were told that the owner thought it was a good gimmick. Don't get me wrong, the selection of British beers is good as well as their other brands. "Perfect pints o' Guinness" are to be enjoyed but overall, not worth the stop. The food is disappointing as well. The ambience is a bit too "college kids trying to look cultured" - drinking Bud and shooting pool. Overall okay place to taste some different brands but not all that it's cracked up to be. Pros: good beer selection Cons: not a British pub more

Great neighborhood pub 6/1/2004

Great bottled selection and several good taps. Harp, Guinness (poured correctly), and Newcastle always on tap with about 10 other taps that rotate with seasonal and local brews. Good live music from time to time and an overall comfortable feel. Pros: Beer selection, Free darts, Atmosphere more
