Experience Life Underwater 10/25/2006

Located inside the Mall of America, Underwater Adventures is home to the world's largest underwater aquarium. A moving walkway guides you through a 300-foot tunnel, where sharks, fish, stingrays, sea turtles, etc. swim right past you. It really is neat. There are thousands of sea creatures available for your viewing; there is even an area where you can touch some of them. There is a virtual submarine ride, demonstrations, and more. Kids love this place, but it is a hit with people of all ages. more

Very Interesting Place 9/13/2006

This is the worlds largest underwater aquarium and is located in the Mall of America. This aquarium has got great looks with creatures like sharks and other marine creatures going all over you. It would not take more than 30 mins to complete the whole tour and it is a little expensive if you going to get the ticket at regular price. They distribute coupons just outside the aquarium which would save you a few bucks. It's a very difference experience going through that tube and see those colorful creatures. There is a lot of stuff to learn for children and experience. more

It's Alright... 12/30/2005

The Underwater World at Mall of America is nice but it id spendy and I wouldn't make a special trip to go there! It is great to see all the differnet kinds of fish and things that live in the Sea but the part where you can touch them is the Best!!!! I have taken my grandkids once and that was enought for me!The parking is free in the ramp and you might get lucky and find a space close by!! more

a great exspeance 11/21/2005

right in the mall . they have many different kinds of fish and sharks . some hands on things to do . it is a pro and con that it is in the mall . so you have to walk through the mall to get to it but there is always parking just might not be close . i do find it kind of pricey . more

Fun place 11/6/2005

Underwater World is a very interesting and neat idea. You get on a moving walkway and ride along under the water with the fish swimming over and along side of you. You can use headphones for a guided tour or chose not to. The petting pool where you can pet sharks and stingrays is really cool. It is not a very long thing and it is kind of expensive. They do have coupons that you can find. It's not a place that you would go to often, but it is a lot of fun, more

So so 9/15/2005

Ok so its pretty cool to be underwater with all the fish but its really over priced. At first thought it sounds like a brilliant idea for the mall but due to the lack luster attendance due to pricing its lost most of the appeal it had at opening. Regardless much like camp snoopy, its worth another try or a first try if you haven't visited it yet. Very neat environment and gives you a one of a kind viewpoint from down under. more

Educational and Interesting 9/6/2005

There are ways to go to Underwater world inexpensively...They have discounts and coupons, otherwise it is a bit pricey. It is really one of the most unique places I have ever been though. There is a walk through tube that really makes you feel like you are IN the aquarium, with sharks and other neat sea creatures swimming over your head and brushing up next to you. Then you come out and they have a stingray petting tub and climbing structures and other activities for young children. Lots of fun! more

Underwater Adventures 8/27/2005

This attraction is a great fun for children of all ages (just make sure no one in your family is claustrophobic… we found out the hard way). Can't beat the shark petting zoo! The big disadvantage is that , as Mall of America attraction, it is severely overpriced… look for coupons. more

Walk among the fish 8/21/2005

Underwater World is a fun place for families and kids of all ages. The prices are steep but look for coupons. You can chose to listen to a tour guide, or you can go through on your own. There is a moving floor that you can stand on and go through or you can step off of it and take a longer look at something interesting. At the end there is a petting pond as well as the expected gift shop. My children have enjoyed the aquarium a couple of times but it isn't a place that we go to often because of the price. You can find Underwater World at the Mall of America. more

Not worth the money 8/21/2005

We were really unimpressed with the Underwater Adventures attraction at the Mall of America. It was rather expensive, yet did not seem to provide much variety or much to see in comparison with other aquariums. We also were expecting a tour guide rather than just listening to a recorded tour on headsets, which made the tour less personable. We did enjoy the hands-on piece of the exhibit, but will definitely not go back for a second time. more

What a fun place! 8/18/2005

what a fun place to take the kids. SO much to see. We have always had a great time. Make sure you have a coupon this place is a little spendy. more

big aquarium under MOA 8/17/2005

Most of you probably know that thereis an aquarium underneath the Mall of America. It doesn't look like much without going inside the ticket gate, but its actually huge when you do. There are lots of things to do here. Thers a 300 foot long curved tunnel that moves, supposedly simulating a scuba dive. The coolest thing there is probably the glass tunnel that's 14 feet underwater. Here you can see sharks, stingrays, turtels, and more up close. There are also shallow pools ewhere you can touch various different animals. Its a good place for children and adults to go to. more

A Neat Aquarium 8/17/2005

Underwater world is very cool. They have several tanks with different habitats in each one. If I recall correctly there is one for a reef enviornment, a deep sea environment, and a Minnesota Lake enviornment. The location of the Aquarium has always thrown me off. It's in the basement of the Mall of America. I guess if you want something other than shopping and riding rides you can go to Underwater World and see the fish. I'd recommend it, it can be fun. more

Spendy but fun! 8/10/2005

This place is pretty cool for being in the Mall of America. It has a variety of fish including sharks. The tunnel through the aquarium is the best part. If you are lucky you can see the employees feeding the fish. They also have some other displays in addition to the sharks. We haven't taken any kids there - but the kids we see there seem to love it! Try searching or asking around for a coupon to save on admission! more

Underwater World 8/1/2005

This place is a bit on the expensive side, but it is really neat to see all the fish. There is moving walkways so you don't have to worry about watching where you are going and can just enjoy the fish. My children really enjoyed the tunnel where the fish are all around you and on top of you. There is a part where you can even touch some of the fish which is also fun. more

Fun for all ages! 7/29/2005

My husband and I took our two small children to Underwater World as a surprise. Not only were the children excited and impressed, we adults were too. The moving walkway area was amazing. It was great to see so many fish and sharks swimming on both sides of us AND above us! the kids played in the little sandbox and touched the sting rays. It was on the expensive side but with coupons you can get online it is well worth the price. Highly recommended! more

Enjoyable 6/16/2005

For my daughters 1st birthday we spent the day at Underwater World. She had a great time and so did we. It is exciting to experience something like a huge aquarium in the middle of a shopping mall. They do a great job of catering to children of all ages here. After you ride the moving walkway through the aquarium there is a huge sandbox and play area to let the children run and get rid of any pent up energy. The day we went we had a great time learning interesting facts from the well educated staff. We even were able to touch stingrays and sharks. Very exciting. it is an excellent educational family activity. more
