Bad food & Mediocre Drinks 11/15/2010

I've been to this place twice. Aesthetically it's a cute place- nice outside seating. It has a very small parking lot- which I wouldn't mid if the place was worth going to. Happy Hour consists of taking $1.00 off of drinks that are priced at $8.00 or higher, even then the drinks are NOT worth the price. Mojitos are very watered down, the Cuba Libre is basically a slushi in a highball glass with a splash of liqor. I had the Italian style chips con queso it was terrible, it was like they gace me a very small soup and dropped a blob of cheese in the middle. I wen't twice- I always like to go back and give places a second try- this place is just not worth going to again.. sorry. more

Editorial
  • In Short
Craving a martini with relaxed after-work conversation? Or a lively weekend mix of students, dancing and hanging on the patio? Volcano has both. A dozen draft beers, wine and martinis satisfy most tastes, but this spot really packs them in with its frozen screwdriver and specialty drinks. Owner Pete Mitchell personally selects the bar's jukebox contents, an eclectic mix of everything, like vintage Kinks, Tribe Called Quest and blues veteran Little Joe Washington.
