Best

I have been going there since I have moved from Colorado 5 years ago. I get deep pore facials from Lydia. She does a fantastic job. I would not go anywhere else for a facial.

Worst

I went to get a wax and when I first called the woman was so rude. It was just not a great experience, they need to learn to be more professional. It could have been a cultural ...

The worst wax ever by Faina 8/5/2010

I had a bikini and half-leg wax done by Faina. It was the worst experience i've ever had in my life (and i've been have wax done for the past 15 years)!!! It took her only 20 min to wax everything, and it usualy takes at least 40. And the worst part of all is that i ended up with the bruises for the first time in 15 years!!!! If you are going to this place - do not get into Faina's hands!!! more

Lack of professionalism 1/21/2010

Awful service, waited 30 minutes (with no exaggeration) for my facial lady to get into the treatment room. She started facial without any excuses. Almost entire treatment I was left in the room alone. She was servicing other client or something else. I must add that I had my mani-pedi here before and had no remorse. The salon has a potential but it falls short due to lack of professionalism. Cons: Service, facial more

Very fine management and nice services 12/25/2009

Thank you for your kindness to us,especially after we had such a bad experience at the other spa. We enjoy the services you provided and found the owners attitude towards us very helpful. Pros: Great service Cons: a bit outdated looking more

Kept me waiting 20 minutes while she read emails and ate chinese food on my time 2/11/2009

I had the most unprofessional experience with the owner today. Last week I booked my appointment for 2pm this afternoon. I got a call yesturday confirming my 2pm appointment for a facial and other potential treatments. I arrived on time, 2pm sharp, for my appointment with Lydia. When I arrived she was reading email and asked me to wait a moment, which was fine. She then went next door to TASTE KING and picked up lunch. I offered to come back later and go do a few errands in the area. Lydia said it was not necessary she would be only a moment. I sat there for 12 more minutes and finally went to see what she was doing.............you guessed it............eating her lunch!!! Keeping me waiting for almost 20 minutes while she read emails and ate chinese food on my time. This appointment was pre-scheduled and potentially about $150.00. In this economy with so many spas in the area how does anyone act so rude and disrespectful? I told the receptionist to cancel my appointment and will never ever return there again!!!! more

A fine and professional day spa! 1/25/2009

This is what a day spa should be. The services were all quite fine and the owner was so friendly and explained everything to my family! I feel that this is a place we will return to many times in the future. I bought several gift cards for my family here and at other spas and really had a terrible reaction from my sister to another spa. This is the place. Pros: very nice place more

fine services and very good prices 11/15/2008

This is the best in the area we think. The staff is highly trained and the prices are very good. I think that for a spa this is the right place for you to go. I know my english not so good, but try this place for youself. Pros: good prices and good staff more

Very nice and relaxing 11/5/2008

Good staff and the services are quite good. I would recommend this spa. I feel that the quality of the staff as well as the good front desk service is what we really are looking for in a Day Spa. more

Poor service, noisy and unhealthy looking place. As a low-end hair salon this place is ok. 11/4/2008

I had very bad experience with Ultrabeauty European Day Spa. I felt that the customer service in this spa is extremely poor, personnel are not trained at all and very pushy, unfortunately the spa was not clean either and the most annoying thing is a cigarette smoke smell. As a low-end hair salon this place is ok. If you are looking for luxury, peace, comfort you will not find it here. This is very noisy and unhealthy looking place. I would not recommend this place at all. It left a very, very bad impression Cons: not clean, noisy, cigarette smoke smell, poor service & rude personnel more

Unprofessional and pushy! 2/26/2008

I had been going to this spa for 3 yrs. and received numerous facials, manicures, pedicures, etc. I had mixed experiences with this place, some good, some bad. On the positive side, I did enjoy manicures and pedicures here but you have to be careful who you get b/c one of the ladies hurt my cuticles. I also received a divine massage! Now for the not so great experiences. I had a facial with Fannie who used to smoke a cigarette then put her smelly hands on my face and talk to me the entire time! Another facialist burned my face with that machine used to reduce bacteria on the skin. Lastly, a third facialist named Lucy gave a wondeful facial with great extractions and then proceeded to bring $200 worth of products into the room for me to buy. I sat up and she said, "OK here are the products you will purchase today". She also told me she expected me to buy these products b/c she spent a lot of time with me and gave me an extra service. I am no spa amateur and I can tell you there was nothing extra! As for spending time with me, isn't that what a good facialist should do!?!? Needless to say I left without purchasing and never went back. Pros: manicures, pedicures, massage Cons: pressure to buy, unprofessional staff more

GREAT Massage 2/24/2008

Wasn't sure about this place because it had mixed reviews. I took a friend last minute and it was the only place we could get two appointments at. We arrived early, and the receptionist recommended that we add-on a steam and hydrotherapy bath. The hydrotherapy bath (an oversized jauzzi-type tub) is in a private room, lit with candles and laden with rose petals. My friend found it very relaxing. I did the steam room. It was absolutely perfect. Again, a private treatment, so I had the place to myself. Steam was just the right volume. The attendant let us know when we should head to the waiting room for our massages, and made sure that we had plenty of water. Our massage therapists were possibly the best we have experienced. I have had massages in Europe, on cruise ships, and at some of the top US resorts. The massage I received here was definitely world-class. Both of our therapists used their hands--not just their elbows like you get at some places. My therapist was concerned about some knots in my back and used hot stones on them at no extra charge. The price for the massage and steam add-ons was unbelievably reasonable. The ambience is not the Four Seasons, but it is clean, lots of candles, and nice. The locker room is a little small and only has one shower, so you should plan this. I highly recommend Ultrabeauty if you are looking for a GREAT massage. Pros: Excellent massage, good steam room Cons: small locker room more

Hands down...the worst experience! 7/31/2007

This place is a poor excuse for a spa....please do not go here for any type of waxing!!! This place is dirty, has very poor customer service, and is a complete rip off!!! When I asked as to how long this place has been in business- the cashier told me for several years- I couldn't help but think....HOW!!!! more

Poor services and very poor customer service 4/15/2007

I tried this salon/spa twice since it has great reviews here and it is very close to my office, and I was very very disappointed both times (so-so manicure and a bad eyebrow wax, a terrible massage and the facial was just awful). For the eyebrow wax instead of going into a private room like every other salon/spa I've been to, she had me put my head back in the shampooing sink and waxed them there! Needless to say it was uncomfortable for my neck and my hair got damp in the sink. I am very skeptical of all these glowing reviews - they all seem overly positive and there are so many of them for a salon/spa. The constant odor of cigarettes all over their staff is really quite disturbing and very unporfessional. They seem totally unconcerned with client satisfaction. When I expressed my opinion they just laughed and said to me to try another spa/salon. I will don't you worry. Cons: Very bad attitude and poor services more

Just terrible and quite unsatisfactory 2/14/2007

I need not go into great detail, but suffice it to say that after driving from Cherry Hill to visit my sister in the northeast, asnd then going to this spa with her-we were both very dissapointed. This is not an upscale place and the services were mediocre at best.I wanted a top notch facial and massage, what I received was not ewven barely passable. Maybe if the technicians spoke english and stopped smoking all over the spa they could spend time learning their trade. I have found far better spas in Cherry Hill and downtown Philly,so as not to waste my time on this place. Cons: very poor services more

The perfect refuge for pampering 11/25/2006

In late October, I organized a group of 30+ women to attend a private spa party at UltraBeauty Day Spa. We came from all over the East Coast, as well as the local Philadelphia area. The women in attendance are all part of a non-profit group called Mocha Moms that supports mothers. Since moms are the least likely people to find time for themselves, I wanted to make sure their time and money would be well spent. I was lucky to stumble across UltraBeauty through a web search, and I'm so glad I did! It is a hidden oasis that offers the perfect combination of pampering and relaxation! Before visiting, I did the virtual tour on the website and called the spa to coordinate a meeting with the owner, Lydia Kazimirov. Lydia is a true gem, organizing everything flawlessly and making sure things went perfectly during our four-hour stay at the spa. In addition to the massages, facials, nail services and other treatments, we made full use of the beautiful spa facilities. You would never know what's inside the doors of UltraBeauty until you walk in and explore! Also, the spa gave us complimentary champagne, chocolate strawberries, and full access to the sauna and wet steam room. It is still a mystery to me how they made sure each of us felt like "queen for the day". I certainly plan to return to UltraBeauty in the near future. My experience there was worth raving about, so I'm glad I found this site to express how pleased I was with their services, their staff and their facility! Maybe I'll be lucky enough that my husband will pick up a gift certificate for Christmas...I certainly could use another day of peace and reprieve! And I bet you could too! Pros: Friendly skilled staff, ability to handle large parties, beautiful atmosphere more

A terrible excuse for a Spa 10/3/2006

Having gone to almost all Philadelphia Spas since coming from my country I can tell you that this place is just awful.Although it looks fairly nice, the staff are poorly trained and the services were just terrible. If I wanted a skin rash I could get it but not from a facial and a massage. Cons: very poorly trained staff and poor parking more

awesome massage 9/18/2006

Susan was amazing, the massage left nothing to be desired, I will keep coming back to Susan, and the rooms were large, warm, and cozy Pros: spacious rooms, great massage Cons: not the best parking more

Best massage and facial in the city! 9/4/2006

I went to ultrabeauty on 9/1/06. I made an appointment and the receptionist was very nice and helpful. The decor is very nice and the staff was awesome! I received exceptional service. I purchased the Plan b and it it was worth every penny! The swedish massage from Susan was absolutely heaven! The facial was out of this world and My body scrub was perfect! My skin was so soft and smooth after my treatments. I was so pleased that i have booked another day at this spa and they have me hooked! Thank you ultrabeauty! more

A REAL SPA EXPERIENCE 7/4/2006

This is a fine examplew of what a Spa should be like. I enjoyed my services and the staff was very accomodating. The place looks quite nice and I would recommend this for anyone more
