This is a great theatre - good staff too. Tickets do sell out fast especially for the new movies it gets pretty crowded at times. It's good for the kids as far as keeping them...

UA theatre HORRIBLE! 9/14/2010

So my husband and I have been going to this theater for a long time, it is the closest to our home, has great restaurants near by and the theater's are OK size. However, I couldn't help but notice people mentioning rats, it is so true! one day my husband and I got there early and were one of the first people to walk in to pick a seat, I was ahead of my husband so I got the perfect glimpse of a pack of rats running from the top seats to the bottom in the middle clearing. It was disgusting! we told the cleaners who also got disgusted but did nothing. The worst part of my experience was yesterday, 09/13/2010. I went to see Resident Evil in 3D in the IMAX theater only to start itching like crazy. I have to say I prefer the rats over bed bugs any day! yes that's right bed bugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After the movie I left with 9 fresh bites (which i have an allergic reaction to) and no employees to tell for the safety of others. So here I am now warning everyone.... UA Sheepshead Bay Theater is flooded with rats and bed bug. more

Wrongly assigned low sound ruined avatar 3D! 1/18/2010

this theater is downgrading big big time. i went there to see avatar in 3D with my father and sister and it was a totally disappointing experience, not because of the movie, but because of the sound. it was so low and flat. im thinking they switched the sound system to keep the dying theater going. overall, a botched rare occasion since its hard to get my dad to go see a theater movie due to the demoted sound and sound system. many ppl may not know and may overlook the importance of sound in a movie, that is what creates an amazing movie experience and ambiance. bad sound will have decreased movie quality by as much as half, i kid u not. Regal theater at dekalb is much better, always an amazing lasting impressioned experience due to its superb sound system that always inspire awe and almost even fear in the audience. bottom line: waste of money which im still aching over. it was 45 dollars NOT WELL SPENT! ppl, take a pass at this place. use ur precious money much more wisely. Pros: convenient location! Cons: heartbreakingly downgrading and withering! more

RATS!!!! 10/22/2009

This place is filled with Rats!! There is garbage all over the floor when you walk into a theatre and then the rats have a field day during the show. It's a dangerous place and should not be tolerated. I saw a rat climb up the wall fall off and try again to make it into a space. They have grown bold in the dark. Pros: RATS!!! Cons: RATS!!! more

A perfect family movie theatre 6/30/2009

Resturants and ice cream places are nearby, by car and walking. Theres a big parkling lot. Near the belt parkway highway. Best movie theatre in brooklyn. This is why the Marlboro in Bensonhurst closed. Its's a family oriented like movie theater. Sound is clear. Digital is good, and projecters always start on time. Good thing is that theres many seats and a balcony, though it's good you can't hear the sound form the movie next door like in other small movie theatres. I go here often, though on the downside there tends to be many rodents, pigeons somehow find their way inside, and once a cat got in there which is strange. Though the restrooms are smelly. Otherwise it is much better than the Kings Plaza one. Pros: 14 theatres, air conditioning, many seats, roomy and big Cons: expensive food and drinks, rodents, and who cares more

Rodents 5/4/2009

I went to the theater to see 17 Again . When i was coming into the theater i saw somthing go down the isle so i thought maybe someone dropped something . Then during the movie i saw a rodents run across the isle Pros: Worst Cons: Rodents more

YEAH rodents!!! 12/11/2008

PRO: They have some of the latest movie showings in Brooklyn just in case you are like me and want to see BOLT 3D at 10:30pm \r \r CON: Popcorn was cold, rodents were bold\r \r Last Word: Go someplace else and avoid the rodents! Go to Manhattan if you need an 11pm showing!\r \r Other theatres may have some pestilence but from my experience PLUS the other reviews all saying the same thing, this movie theatre could be the source of a bubonic plague endemic Pros: Late showings Cons: Rodents, cold popcorm more

little furry critters! 3/22/2008

i have lived in this neighborhood since i was a little kid, and have always gone to the ua to see the latest movies. unfortunately i have recently gone to the ua to see ""the dr.seuss movie"" and during the middle of the movie we saw a family of furry critters run by our feet. this movie theater has recently spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on building a new parking lot, but they can't spend a couple of hundred dollars on keeping the place clean? also, when we went to complain to the manager and told him that we saw 3 critters and he said, ""3 rodents...were they blind?"" ...as he was joking around with his fellow co-workers. \r \r this was truly gross! ! ! Pros: parking lot Cons: little furry critters, running by your feet!!! more

Have Fun! 3/22/2008

I have been going to this theater for years, however this time around was the worst experience ever. We thought we were lucky by being in a theater with not many people, come to find out that we were not alone...There were rodents running in front of us!!! We told one of the floor staff that we had a complaint, and he said ""What, critters?"" I love how they know of the issues and yet management does nothing about it. The manager was nice enough to re-imburse us for the tickets, but he did so with a nonchalant attitude as he took his clothes and walked out the front door without even a ""Sorry""\r \r These theaters have garbage overflowing the few garbage cans there are, and the floors in the theaters are covered in leftovers. Unfortunately, businesses have to pick up after their customers and this staff does not do so. It's amazing how they have people coming into check ticket stubs during a children's movie, but they can't bother the check out what else is lurking in the theater... Pros: Parking Lot, Neighborhood spot Cons: Could not enjoy movie because of rodents more

Movie Theatre Review 3/23/2007

This is a great theatre - good staff too. Tickets do sell out fast especially for the new movies it gets pretty crowded at times. It's good for the kids as far as keeping them occupied with the video games before a movie starts. I've never encountered any negative feedback in this theatre. Enjoy it pretty much and have been going there for a few years now. Really one of the best movie theatres in Brooklyn. Parking is sometimes a little difficult but eventually you get a spot. Pros: Big selection of movies and comfy chairs Cons: Parking sometimes is difficult more

Best theater in Brooklyn 10/31/2005

Comfortable, good selection of movies and snacks, parking lot, kiosks, ATM, games, good deal. Too bad movie prices are so high! Pros: comfort, good snacks, many movies playing Cons: high prices more
