I still go back and forth as to who has the best whole pizza in Denver, but by the slice, Two Fisted Marios is above and beyond the rest. 2 months ago, I strolled the streets of ...

There's No Service Like No Service 1/4/2008

Is the giant sign they have hanging near the register. A flying monster flys above the cooks. Loud punk music plays and everyone seems to be having fun. These are the first things I liked about the pizza place. After a short wait for my pizza, I tasted it and it was great!!! Real authentic pizza served by real authentic people! more

Avoid this place 11/9/2007

I went there last night and the music was BLASTING, the tables were dirty. We ordered 2 pizzas that was served 15 min apart, and 2 people in our party sat on the toilet all today. more

Rude staff and dirty restaurant 10/22/2007

Chose this restaurant because it seemed to be the only pizza place opened late night on a Sunday. What a mistake! The servers were rude and passive-aggressive. They were playing really violent sounding music too loudly for our dinner companions to have a conversation. It hurt our ears. We politely asked them to change the music or turn it down. They only turned it up and smirked at our table. We finished the decent tasting pizza while getting headaches and headed out. Four of us had two slices a piece and the total was $20 so not badly priced, but we also had to put up with dirty tables and floor. One of the bathrooms was out of order so all had to use one toilet in another bathroom that was filthy. Maybe takeout is a better option for this place. Pros: Pizza was decent tasting Cons: Everything else was awful more

Not too bad...for Denver. 1/22/2007

You'll be disappointed if you buy into the ""it's just like East Coast pizza!"" reviews, but Mario's pizza is Completely Acceptable. Very good by Denver standards, just kind of okay by Philly/NYC standards. more

Amazingly delicious, fresh pizza! 1/17/2007

Depending on when you go, Two-fisted can be PACKED. It has an ajoining bar, so weekend nights are usually extremely croweded, and sometimes full of drunk people. There is limited seating, and if you go when they're really busy, there's a good chance you might not get a seat at all. The crowd is usually young and loud, as are the employees. They keep the atmosphere like that of a bar, with loud music and an almost ""rowdy"" feel to it. They are open late, usually till about 3 a.m.. The pizza is extremely delicious and fresh! I've only tried the basic pepperoni, but it is perfect! I don't know how it could taste any better. I love going to Two-fisted. The flavorsome pizza, college-type atmosphere, and great hours and location make it my favorite pizza place in Denver! Pros: Open late; fun, young, social place, like a bar; great downtown loacation; and FRESH, flavorful pizza! Cons: Hard to find parking, sometimes too crowded on weekend nights, and not enough seating. more

Decent pie... mixed atmosphere 10/19/2006

Not bad pizza... actually pretty good... One problem: Severe bi-polar disorder with respect to the employee attitudes. We had a misunderstanding (about the verification of proper identification for alcohol consumption) that turned into a grotesque display of ""the right to refuse service to any customer"". It was sorted out, but it was painful. I know this place probably sees it's fair share of under aged ""sippers"" and they have to manage that risk accordingly, but please don't take your angers out on legitimate customers. I am not looking for an butt-kissing, just some common respect. Other than that, pretty good pizza, colorful atmosphere, (except for the smoking right in front of the door), and a mostly down to earth staff..... Pros: Good Za Cons: Staff may need to cool off a little more

Good Late Night 3/25/2006

This a good place to grab a bite late at night. It's open till 3am or so. On the weekends I recommend getting there before last call or you'll have to wait in a long line. Also, if you order the pizza by the slice it comes up a lot faster than if you order a whole pie. I guess the slices are pre-made and a whole pie they start from scratch on. Pros: Good Pizza, Open Late, Fun Crowd Cons: Not Enough Seating more

Good east-coast style pizza, hip atmosphere 11/8/2005

I've been going here for a few months now as I miss the true east-coast style pizza from back home. Thier slices are big, have the ""New York"" thin, soft crust and have just enough sauce and cheese. The topping selection is better than most places (check out their ""shroom 'n' spin"" pizza) and the toppings are always tasty. The atmosphere is pretty hip, too. Late at night the employees always have the music cranked up. Last time I was there the employees were throwing some of the toys (that they leave on the tables for the customers to play with whilst waiting for their orders) at each other, which made things fun. Every time I crave pizza, this is where I go. I have their number on speed dial! Pros: good pizza, fun atmosphere, great late-night spot Cons: parking more

Excellent Pizza 9/18/2005

The pizza we had here was great! The staff was prompt and nice. We wondered in at around 3pm on a weekday so I dont think they were busy but we ordered a whole pizza and it was ready very quickly. The toppings were good, the sauce was flavorful, the crust was crispy and everything tasted fresh. No it wasnt anything fancy just very good pizza. Dont be put off because its doesnt look pretty, if you are looking for a good place to get pizza this is it, and its great that they are open so late, late night places to eat (with good food) are hard to find. I know we will definitely be going back. Pros: prices, pizza more

Hits your eye like a big pizza pie! 4/27/2005

Want some authentic pizza that kicks ass? Then make your way to Two-fisted. Tasty dough, plenty of toppings, and all set in one of the most intriguing settings for a pizza joint you'll find. Great place for a date as well. more

Sweet Jesus!....This Pizza is GOOD!!! 3/28/2005

Good Cheap Eats 1/5/2005

Great pizza. It was served piping hot. The music was a bit different but it added to the experience. Go and enjoy...you even get a little toy to play with while you wait. Pros: Inexpensive, quick service more

Two-fisted = Perfect pizza & stuff! 9/9/2004

Mama Mia! What could be better than the pies these kids serve up! Open late, cheap, excellent ingredients, simple, always some kinda interesting music going, laid-back staff. Of all the places in this city that I frequent, never do I see so many regular faces in line with me. That is what a real pizzeria is all about. This is what is meant by ""support your locals"" this place is as independent and true to form as it gets in Denver. Keep it up! Pros: inexpensive & tasty, friendly, clean Cons: , single location :-( more

REALLY, REALLY BAD 9/7/2004

Ok Folks, If you like a limp crusted pizza with tasteless toppings then here's your favorite place. I visited Mario's during lunch and was not impressed by the atmosphere - contemporary dive. When I received my much anticipated pizza I was horrified. I'm a pizza lover, have been all my life and this makes Domino's look gourmet. Awful limp, soggy crust. Hardly any cheese, tasteless toppings and lukewarm. I want a slice of pizze, not watered down bread with ketchup. AVOID THIS PLACE. Cons: , bad pizza, real bad pizza more

The best pizza & most fun 7/20/2004

Anytime of day this pizza is great. The pizza itself is crafted with some great, sometimes unusual ingredients. The crust is perfect, and they bring it to you piping hot. They also have a good selection of beers to go with your pizza If you are at the lodo bars though, it's the energy after two am that really makes this place happening. The lines can be long (especially after the bars close) but you can always order it for take out. I love Mario's pizza so much it's the only pizza I eat Pros: quality, location, atmosphere Cons: , long lines more
