Turkish Cafe 12/22/2005

Here you can get full for a small amount of money. For about seven dollars one can get a pida, pilaf, a salad, and Turkish tea. Being able to sit on the floor on pillows gives the restaraunt a fun, exotic feel. The owner of the Turkuaz cafe is very friendly and outgoing, he's sure to make you smile. Definitely worth trying out! more

Very nice place 8/19/2005

I have been here several times and have enjoyed myself on all occassions. The food is really wonderful. It's really nice to have so many options in this town, and this one is great. They have a little grocery section which is interesting and inexpensive. The staff is very pleasant. My favorite part of the Turkuaz is the decor. The on the floor seating is fun and comfy. The walls are covered with beautiful pieces. It makes it hard to leave. more

Turkuaz...where everyone knows your name 8/4/2005

I must say that this restaurant delivers the friendliest and most personal service in Bloomington. The owner, Mitin (sp?), is always in there, mingling with customers, and otherwise getting to know his customers. The food is great: I especially like the chicken pide with mushrooms. The prices are very reasonable, especially for small pides, which are about $5 and come with a small cup of soup and salad. Drinks and baklava are a little bit extra, but well worth it! more
