A friendly, mostly locals bar with good drinks in a beautiful location within spitting distance of water, what else could you ask for? Turk's stands out with its copper bartop, overhead aquariums, and floor-to-ceiling photographs of the late owner and Hollywood strongman actor Harry ""Turk"" Varteresian (who also ran a restaurant in Sunset Beach that he sold and eventually became Turc?s bar). He passed on a few years back and his daughter now runs the place much the same as her father.
The burgers are fantastic; as are the homemade soups (I like the clam chowder). A great place for a weekend breakfast/lunch or an evening drink and dinner. I recommend the pepper steak or the prime rib.
Pros: Friendly Staff, Great View, Good Drinks, Good food
Cons: Usually crowded at the bar
