Tulcingo Deli isn't a deli, at all. It's a Mexican restaurant with a great selection of authentically and freshly prepared Mexican entrees and appetizers prepared to order.
Favorites include soft tacos (including the usual beef & chicken but also the unusual like tripe, sausage and tongue), nachos, burritos and fajitas. Special orders are also available and include ranchero steak, pork chops, chimichangas, chalupas, veracruz fish, drunk fish and grilled salmon w/mango sauce. Sauces range from mild to fiery and I'd suggest ordering your food with sauce on the side. Try the salsa, guacamole and chips, but leave room for your entree.
Service is good and soft drinks, wine and cocktails are available as beverages. Monday feature Maguerita specials and Tuesdays are Tequila specials. Any item is also available for take-out and they seem to do a brisk lunch and dinner business. Portions are generous and sharing is recommended. Prices are reasonable and large groups can be accommodated. Families like to dine here as there is something on the menu for everyone to enjoy.
Definitely worth visiting.
