My kids love the Tucson Children's Museum. We could spend the entire day there...and we have! Bring a picnic lunch to eat outside in the courtyard. Don't forget your camera! There...

More museum than expected (exhibits and price too) 3/16/2006

In the center of town, the Children's museum looks nothing like an attractive place to children from the outside. On the inside, though, are a number of interactive and entertaining exhibits. Some appear cheap and simply made and there are empty areas with obvious room for expansion. I would estimate the children who would enjoy this museum most would be in the 4-5 year old range. At over $5 it was a little expensive considering what was inside. Look for free admission days that seem to come up once a month or so. more

Fun for kids and parents! 10/19/2005

Tucson Children's Museum is great for a school field trip or family outing. There are lots of interesting exhibits and interactive elements that get little hands and minds working. My nephew loves to come here and can easily spend a whole afternoon wandering around. The gift shop has some great options for Christmas gifts for smaller kids as well. more

Cool Getaway 7/16/2005

The Tucson Children's Museum is located in the downtown area. It used to be Tucson's Main Library. There are great things for kids of all ages. Little ones can climb the treehouse and sit on a cops motorcycle or in a little schoolbus. Older kids can do science experiments and check out the goodies on the computers. You can visit what's inside you in a display you walk through. There are many days that have special activities for kids. Once a week I believe, you can get in free, otherwise it costs which to me is a little pricey, so call for the free days. more

Kids love the Tucson Children's Museum! 7/15/2005

My kids love the Tucson Children's Museum. We could spend the entire day there...and we have! Bring a picnic lunch to eat outside in the courtyard. Don't forget your camera! There are alot of cute photo opportunities. There are activities for all ages. There is a baby/toddler room with large stuffed blocks and a puppet theater. My kids love the animatronic dinosaurs, the Big Mouth, and the submarine. Check the website out for special programs. Also, if you go alot, there is a great annual membership program. Bring change for the parking meters! more
