Do Ya See A Pattern Here? 3/26/2011

Went in with brake noise, and told needed $650+ in repairs - front brakes, new calipers (!), etc. Sounded fishy, so took it to another shop - $240 for a simple brake job. This is not the first time I've been ""sold-up"" by these clowns, but i regret that this is the first time I was smart enough to get a second opinion. I think the front desk guys just try to sell you up because business is slow. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion, or better yet just drive down the street and see Odie. more

Should have listened to the reviews.... 1/21/2011

Finally got my car back today from Tuckahoe Tire Country on Patterson Avenue. Took my car in on Monday to have the front end aligned and a tie rod end replaced. Tuckahoe Tire broke a part which took them all week to get. They then charged me almost $200 parts and labor for the peice they broke along with $10 freight. My car was moved 2 or 3 times with the piece broken which may have caused damage. I will probably have to take it to another shop to make sure it is ok. Friends take it from me, don't take your vehicle to Tuckahoe Tire Country, they are really incompetent!!! more

Never too old to learn 1/14/2011

Had an inspection done Jan.2011 told I needed $1600 in repairs to pass. Took it to Import Autohause had it re-inspected told I did not need all the repairs listed by Tuckahoe Tire. Final bill was under $600. more

Tuckahoe Tire Review 8/7/2009

I went to Tuckahoe Tire for an inspection and was quoted around $1000 for the things they found wrong with it. I then went to Abbot's and was quoted $200.\r \r I told them to check the rotors, and they did not. I took my car to Abbott's and was told the rotors needed to be replaced without me telling them to do it.\r \r When I walked into Tuckahoe Tire I felt that they were the typical older male mechanics who think they can rip young females off. I was correct. I would never recommend them to anyone as I was highly dissapointed with their extreme lack of knowledge on how to conduct a business in order to keep customers. \r \r Pros: none Cons: a rip off, condescending business manner more

SMOKING ENGINE 6/27/2009

State Inspection and Oil change nearly caught my car on fire. They left the oil cap off the engine after the oil change and the engine was smoking and filling the interior. They would do NOTHING to resovle the issue. I needed a tire, standard size for a Toyota Corolla.... They didn't have one in stock and wanted me to wait for up to 4 hours to get one.\r \r THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER, very rude and unprofessional staff.\r \r DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Pros: Close to home Cons: VERY UNPROFESSIONAL more
