Food was great, service was...adequate (e.g., our waiter was professional and knowledgeable, however, a couple of times I found myself wondering, "Where is he? We're ready for desert. Or, "Where is he? We're ready for the check.") While the curb appeal doesn't knock you off your feet, the atmosphere inside is professional but not stuffy. Don't let my verbose comments about service keep you from coming here. This is my "go to" place for business lunches in the Galleria area. Finally, don't let the "$$$" scare you off for lunch. I think I laughed when I received the bill because of it's low amount. Pros: food, location, value more

Don't be fooled by the exterior, Trulucks is a really nice restaurant. The bar can be a little crowded, but the atmosphere is rich and young. The steaks are great, but the crustaceans shine. If you like crabs, this is the place. My girlfriend had an Australian Spanner crab (I'd never even seen on before). It was delicious. Another must have is the dessert. They serve their version of "Jack's Sacks". For those of you who don't remember Jack's on Woodway, it's a chocolate bag filled with whipped cream, fruit, nuts, and pound cake. :-) Pros: food, atmosphere Cons: , can be crowded more

Don't be fooled by the exterior. This place has some very good food. It's not unreasonably priced.You'll pay for it, but its still good. Most entrees are in the mid $20s. Good for any occasion. more

Truluck's is an above average dining experience. The best part of the restaurant is its wine list. It is incredibly diverse and thoughtful. Kudos to the wine steward. The worst part of the restaurant is the noise level. I've actually gotten hoarse from screaming over the ambient noise. The place is swank and will impress your biz clients, but for the love of God-get some managed acoustics! The wait staff is all over the place. I've had great service and awful service. The food is fine and the menu is deep. Grab a table next to the bar...nobody eats there and it is a more pleasant experience than eating in the main restaurant. Truluck's is one of the best restauraunts I have ever been to. The service is EXCELLENT. (Men, notice how they serve the women first.) It's always clean, the food just can't be beat. One of my favorites is the fried calamari. At 9.95, you can't beat its flavor and the portion. I've had it there a lot of times, and it is NEVER overcooked. The red snapper with crab meat served with bernaise sauce was excellent. I am suspect of the acustics of the resturant however, the place was less that 1/4 full and table noise was bouncing around like a full resturant. Fact is, I woun't even walk into the Truluck's in Austin because the noise is deafening. So bring your ear plugs and enjoy the food. Pros: Food, Service Cons: Noise, Smoke from the bar more

The menu has a few steaks, ask your server if you would like a different cut, or larger, and they will accomodate for a price of course. The steaks were very good the 3 times I have gone, the service was better than expected every time. The atmosphere was very nice. And of course the crab claws were very tasty. Its a lil more the the normal steak place, but if you dont want to spend much you can go to burger king next door. Pros: steak, seafood Cons: price more
