Ahh, ritas! 8/13/2009

Their ritas are strong and very tasty. Monday's ritas are on only 3.25 and kids eat free. Kinda a weird combo until you have had two kids like me. I also like their Mexican martinis on Thursdays. This place is more of a family restaurant but the food is good, service is friendly and I love the drinks! Pros: best two rita deals in town Cons: only twice a week more

very inconsistent 1/22/2006

I've tried this Tres Amigos a few times, and the food is very inconsistent so you never know what to expect. The first time the verde sauce was great, but the next two times, it was so spicy I couldn't eat it (and I like spicy foods, but verde sauce should not be that spicy!). I liked the options for rice (lime cilantro in addition to standard Mexican rice), but they seem to add pico to everything as the flavoring, which just adds the jalepeno kick instead of flavor. It seems everything is either bland (tacos) or has way too much jalepeno in it. And the food is overpriced, upwards of $10 for most standard entrees that aren't anything special. Overall, I was disappointed. Cons: expensive, inconsistent more

not worth the money 6/13/2005

My husband and I are always on the search for a new favorite Tex Mex restaurant. This place was very disapointing. The food was bland and overpriced. Mexican food is supposed to be cheap! A combination plate cost $10.50 and didn't have much flavor. The service was great, but the staff was bored and hanging at the bar together near our table. There are much better options in Austin - especially for the money! Pros: service Cons: disapointing, bland food more
