Be prepared for frustration 7/16/2010

Ditto the above comments about delivery. I purchased $6600 worth of bedroom furniture with an estimated delivery date of 10-14 weeks. It has now been 27 weeks and still nothing. I called 5 times to the sales staff and got no response other than it was ""back ordered."" Despite my request they call the manufacturer, Lexington Furniture in NC, for an update and let me know what was going on, they never did. At the 19 week mark I went in to see the manager personally. He called back a few days later saying he spoke with the company and the furniture was in stock and that it would arrive in 1-2 weeks. After no calls, I called back 3 weeks later. Again, a phone call to the company revealed it was in stock and would be 1-2 weeks for delivery. 3 weeks passed and I have recently gotten a hold of the ""new"" manager. Still no call back. I don't know if this company is running a scam or what. I do know customer service and communication is virtually nonexistent. They will take your money and not deliver anything. If the line they fed me about the furniture being ""in stock"" at Lexington is true and just had not shipped yet, I would be willing to throw a large bit of blame on Lexington. But given their record so far, I am not willing to believe anything they have told me. One of their sales staff told me, in person, that since I had signed the contract stating the delivery was only an ""estimate,"" I could not cancel or get a refund without paying the restocking fee. Now, I know this isn't true (see the Uniform Commercial Code, Goods of Sale Act, etc.). And the reason that this person works as a furniture sales rep in the first place is indicative of low test scores, not knowledge of the law. But it is emblematic as to how they treat their customers. I have already filed two complaints with the Better Business Bureau and am currently looking for the regional manager's contact info for both Treasures and Lexington. I cannot in good conscience recommend this store to anyone. Undoubtedly, Treasures tops my list of consumer nightmares. Pros: Nice furniture Cons: Customer Service, Communication, Sales Staff, Delivery, etc. more

Now I know why they were pushing their floor models when I ordered $17000 worth of furniture in June. They never intended on shipping! I have had nothing but problems with my furniture order. First the saleswoman, who no longer works there, was completely incompetent--I knew more about the Artistica options than she did. Then the table I ordered was discontinued so I settled on a different model. I was told 8-12 weeks for delivery and it has been 23 weeks. I'm getting very little, to no, communication from their manager Dean and assistant Becky. I've been calling at least once per week since September and am getting the run around. Once when I called for status the receptionist said ""I don't have time to check on that right now let me call you back"", and never did. The next word was that the entire order was ready except one bed frame, so 14 out of 15 pieces were ready and they were holding the whole order. I kindly asked if they could get them to release the pieces that were ready and finally last week Dean said that they had confirmation that our order was shipping from the manufacturer, Artistica, and should be here by today. The word from them today (after my calling every hour) is that they are ""playing phone tag"" with the manufacturer and do not have any tracking information to see where the shipment is (or if it really left at all). The last time I got a return call from their staff was 3 weeks ago, if it were not for my contact I doubt they would be doing anything at all to assist with this order. I do not expect this kind of service and lack of communication when paying this kind of money and especially from a reputable company such as theirs. I would not be so upset if I wasn't counting on this furniture for seating for our Thanksgiving guests and had not been promised by Dean that he would personally follow up and see that I get the shipment before then. Now I will be forced to buy other seating tomorrow, after I've already spent $12,000 deposit on furniture that may never show up. As a business owner myself I understand how frustrating depending on outside vendors can be. But there's no excuse for their lack of service. If I do not hear from anyone there tomorrow, I will have no other choice than to have my legal counsel file suit against them. Pros: Nice furniture Cons: No Customer Service, Never get your furniture more

Customer Service is an Unfamiliar Concept at Treasures 12/8/2008

Worst customer service ANYWHERE 4/21/2008

Ordered a Lexington custom covered sofa over 1 yr ago and they still have yet to replace the cussion that THEY ordered incorrectly. It took them 6 months to admit that they made the mistake. I have been through 5 'customer service' people and too many phone calls to count. Never again. more

Overpriced snooty junk 11/22/2006

I don't get this place. With endtables priced at $3000 and sofas for $8000, you'd think you'd find some really high-end furniture here. Not so. Everything was exceedingly gaudy and impractical. Don't get me wrong; I can appreciate fine furniture but this ain't it. I ended up buying a dual-reclining suede couch for $2000 down the street and it was perfect. I can see New Money coming here just to see how much they could spend; but they would only prove that they have no taste. Cons: gaudy junk for the faux-wealthy more
