Luckily, I live right next to a Treasure Island, a great supermarket that features European goodies you may not be able to find elsewhere. They also have a decent salad bar, and an extensive deli section with lots of prepared foods. They also have a dessert section, as well as soups, prepared sandwiches, heat-n-serve pizzas and more. They also offer cheap cooking lessons, although that's only in select locations. You'll want to go to a more mainstream market, i.e. Jewel, to get all your regular groceries, but Treasure Island is a good resource to find more unique items.
