You definitely cannot be trusting with these people. They once again tried to sell me a bearing replacement and told me the seals were leaking on my 78 Chevy truck. They were correct in the original finding about 16months ago and I had since had them replaced though a friend for 1/3 the cost. They originally told me the whole rear axle had to be replaced - $1000 for parts and about $300 for labor. \r \r Took it in again for an inspection, pulled me up on the computer and they 're-diagnosed' the same "problem." I looked at the seals myself and told the deeply hungover mechanic, there was not a speck of grease on the seals. He was 'concerned' on the light film of grease on a brake spring and wanted to redo the seals and bearings. Then he told me my lights were out of alignment $40and was going to fail me on worn blades $40. He also notified me of another service which costs about $100. Which I opted for so, the whole deal cost me about $150. They didn't touch my headlights. So more

Terrible 7/6/2011

I brought my vehicle in a week ago for new tires a little after they opened. I specifically stated that I needed tires installed & car ready BY 1 pm, which they said was PLENTY of time for them to pick up the tires from their warehouse & have everything ready. I was alittle skeptical about that so I asked again because I had work that afternoon & said if their was any problem with that, that I could bring my car in the following day. They said they would definitely have it done so I left my vehicle there & had a friend pick me up. 12pm rolls around & I call about 6 times to check on my vehicle, no answer. I was forced to find a ride to work & inconvenience a coworker to pick me up. Coincidentally, TQ calls me around 1:15pm & says they got stuck in traffic (of course) & that they were just finishing mounting the tires on. I was very annoyed but was then astonished that they told me they still had to do my alignment. I talked to my supervisor & coordinated a ride to pick my vehic more

I will never go here again. The employees were rude and unqualified. The guy behind the counter was clueless. Bottom line; don't waste your time going ot Tread Quarters in Hampton. I agree with the other guy who went here recently... absolutely horrible customer service. Fire them all! more

Horrible Customer Service at Hampton Tread Quarters 1/4/2011

I made an appointment to have an oil change and tire rotation at Tread Quarters in Hampton. When I arrived, Bobby (the employee at the counter) told me that it would be 20-30 minutes and he was sorry for the wait because I had an appointment. I waited for an hour and noticed my car was still not being serviced, then I asked how much longer it would be? The employee asked me which car was mine and what I was having done. He still had no clue who I was despite the conversation he had with me when I entered. Horrible customer service. I asked for my keys back because I was leaving and it took the employees 10 to 15 minutes to find them. The employees offered no apology for the wait or failure to find my keys and were quite rude. Most of the time the employees were smoking (while in the garage) which I think is against the law considering all of the no smoking signs that were present in the garage. GraftonTQ is lost time... Hampton is the One #1 9/11/2009

Thanks to Tread Qtrs in Hampton for saving my day, for the one in Grafton about ruined mine, I was at Grafton store early on a workday,with a bad tire,they said it would be till 11am to get to me, so I came back at 10, they started there change out but then told me they Discovered they didnt even have the tire at all,the computer showed 4 in stock but none in the store,so after waiting nearly 3 hours and lost time,I drove to go to Hampton to get tire there,I wouldnt have a big problem with that for Hampton was very helpfull but the Grafton store didnt even at least apologyze for the mess up and inaccuracy,it cost me a whole day of work where it was suppose to be a half day,in these times we need our hours and savings...\r I shall only go to Hampton Tread Qtrs for future service..they were Fast and helpfull and did apologyze for the inconvenience... more

Great Service! 12/10/2008

The Tread Quarters on Mercury is a great place to go for tires, oil changes, and state inspections. The current Service Manager is awesome and very helpful and friendly. We have never had any problems with service there and we get our oil changed there regularly. more

Service Department 10/23/2008

After reviewing the comment from Kim G. I am so surprise. I have been dealing with Tread Quarters for the past two years and never have had problem at the Hampton location on Mercury. I have five vehicles and that is the only place I take our vehicles to for tires, inspections or any other problems that are not under warranty at the dealership. When I moved to Hampton, I decided to get tires and rims for my truck. When I visited Tread Quarters, I waited and waited to be helped. The man behind the counter never even recognized that I was there! I asked to speak with the manager and told him that I was interested in something they had, but have decided that they must not need my business and told him that I would be going elsewhere to spend my $1,500! I went to Merchant's and was treated much better! more
