I have a P-K er who started school obviously 4 the very 1ST time in a public school not 2 mention a large body of students. driving round n circles. I manage 2 find parking. We are now walking into the hall of my Pre-Kers classroom area,I noticed alot of parents just waiting around talking while sipping on their very own coffee mug. No wonder why I couldn't find a parking spot. When all of a sudden the HALL monitor(adult female) prevents me from walking my P-ker 2 class which is 20secs away. she sends us 2get a tardy slip its8:00.I retrieve my TARDY SLIP whichis now 8:12am I proceed 2walk my P-Ker 2 class and I get stopped by a HALL Monitor (same female lady). She now tells me I can't walk her to the classrM after 08:00., Day 2-Im trying to get my Pre-Ker in the routine of getting dropped off at the DROP OFF, since I cant walk my Pre-Ker to classroom anyway. We are now in the CAFE (hundreds of very loud kids, natural) I hear a faint voice saying (Pre-K) holding a sign. My Pre-Ker doesn't read as of yet nor did she hear the lady holding the sign. We start to make our way to the corner, I realize D Pre-K line has already left. I start to walk the hallway of Dclassroom when I get stopped by D Hall Monitor.I ask her ""Is that the Pre-Kers?"" she stated"" u cant walk ur Pre-Ker she has 2walk herself."" That's not what I asked, We've been through that) And It was only 7:50, apparently before8:00 or after 08:00 is a no-go. If any Pre-Ker missed the line and alone w/OUT a parent, they would b overwhelmed trying to find the line in the massive hall crowd filled W/ coffee socializing parents. Who knows when any of them could spill the hot coffee on any kid. This kind of activity should b banned..drop your kid off N head 2 the nearest socializing cafe which serves coffee.Don't hog up D parking spaces.I understand you want safety for D children But do It correctly all aroundGet the coffee out get a megaphone and focus more attention on the Beginning P-Kers.This is crazy ridiculous
Pros: no uniforms, clean school
Cons: parking, drop off for prek, to and from classroom in the morning, coffee social parents
