Wonderful Trip To Hawaii 5/18/2019

Just returned from a trip on the Carnival Legend to Hawaii. Had a wonderful trip. The trip was organized perfectly. I thought the Price for trip was reasonable. I've been traveling with Travel At Its Finest for quite awhile, and find the service they give admirably. I will travel with them for other trips in the future. more

Hawaii Trip April 19-29 5/18/2019

I traveled to Hawaii with Travel At Finest April 2019. It was an Excellent trip. It was organized before we left DC. We received name tags and all the information we needed weeks before takeoff. I have traveled with this agency at least 5 times. I traveled to London, Paris, Dallas and New Orleans. We had a great time. I have nothing but praise for this travel agency. Lilly is a great leader. more

If You Want A Good Trip, Don’t Pick Travel At It’s Finest !!! 4/29/2019

We just got back from a trip to Hawaii. We paid good money for this trip and was put in the cheapest seats on the airplane, and there was nothing organized about this trip. Things that Travel At It’s Finest said would be done wasn’t. Some people in the group received onboard credits and some didn’t. No one could say why. The owner was MIA and the group leader couldn’t answer why this happened. There was no organization at dinner and airfare was set up and spouses were seated apart. Travel at its finest didn’t act like this was no big deal. This is my 2nd trip with them and I was not satisfied either time. So if you want to get what you pay for, you better contact another Travel Agency or book it yourself. I gave it one star because we did meet some very nice people on this trip, but they were bamboozled too. No more for me. more

Travel with Mom is in cahoots with Travel at it's Finest. Be Aware of Travel With Mom 5/24/2018

Warning be aware of Travel with Mom, they advertise and do business with Travel at It's Finest, and they are not any better than Travel at it'z finest. Further when i booked a trip thru Travel With Mom and it was a disaster, i reported my complaints to TAIF, AND TRAVEL W/Mom to no avail. I went through the BBB on TAIF, and Travel with mom does not look out for clients..She supports Travel at it's Finest,to the point of helping to respond to BBB in favor of a disasterous trip by TAIF. Be aware of Travel With Mom..SHE IS NO BETTER more

TRAVEL At IT'S FINEST IGNORES CLIENTS, AND THE BBB 8/15/2017

Update on this TRAVEL AT IT'S FINEST CO.: COMPLAINTS WERE FILED AGAINST TRAVEL AT IT'S FINEST TO THE BBB...AND THEY STOPPED RESPONDING, AND THEY ARE NOT A MEMBER OF BBB SO TRAVEL AT IT'S FINEST DOES NOT CARE... BECAUSE THE COMPLAINT IS NEW, IT TAKES LONGER TO PUBLISH, HOWEVER, DO NOT BE CONFUSED BY THE REVIEWS ON THE BBB WEB SITE Concerning this company IT'S TWO DIFFERENT PROCESSES...WHEN POOR REVIEWS WERE PLACED ON THE BBB SITE AGAINST THE TRAVEL COMPANY... THEY ADDED ON GOOD REVIEWS TO LOOK LIKE THEIR REVIEWS ARE GOOD. INSTEAD...ALL THEY DID IS GET ALLIES TO FOLLOW UP WITH GOOD REVIEWS...SO DONT BE FOOLED BY THEIR SO CALLED 4 STAR MANIPULATED RATING..JUST LOOK AT THE REVIEWS HERE PEOPLE LOST LOTS OF MONEY FOR INADEQUATE SERVICES, AND BOTTOM FEED TRIPS..SO WHEN YOU SEE RATINGS ALL OVER THE PLACE AT DIFFERENT CITES.REGARDING THIS COMPANY,..BE AWARE OF THE GAMES THAT COMPANIES PLAY!!! more

15 day train trip across country- 8/5/2017

Travel At Its Finest We just returned from a 15 day cross country train trip sponsored by this company. If you are looking for a organized, coordinated, client satisfied, organization to travel with, then this is not the company you’re looking for. I could write a book of examples of what we endured but here are just a few. 1. Starting day one Wash. DC Union station- where to wait for your luggage-told to stand in different places- then told to stand over there- no pre planning 2. Seating available on train—at two of our train boarding’s they were short of seats-20 to 30 people seating in a observation car for several hours, while seating throughout the train was found. 3. Seating comfort—the seats were great for a 4 to 5 hour trip. 4. The best restaurant we stopped at during the whole trip was Golden Corral—you figure it out 5. The hotels range from 4 star to no star 6. Logistics- we were grouped in 3 groups-each group had a guide- many times groups were given different info on the same activity- the guides were not communicating- where to have luggage- when to be at a bus 7. The tours we paid for- some never happened- some were a waste of money-could have done better on your own. Nothing as described in the itinerary- what you were paying for 8. We lost a whole day—15 day tour—we return home on day 14 – and no one can tell us why-was suppose to be 2 days in Albuquerque N.M.- arrived one evening, left next morning 9. I’m grateful for being able to see this country. I’m grateful for a safe trip back. But as long as I am able to decide what travel agency to employ in the future—IT WON’T BE “TRAVEL AT ITS FINEST” more

Amtrak Cross Country 7/31/2017

Just returned from a cross country trip. It was the worse vacation I have ever taken. Tour guide was awful and lied when things went wrong. Blamed everything on Amtrak. Please do not travel with this company. They do not care about their clients more

Customer Service is not a priority 7/4/2017

When their trips fail, & it is their fault, they dont work on customer satisfaction, or customer service. They just care about their bottom line, money. And they have poor trips under their belts. Unfortunately, they play games by manipulating their reviews. Customers be aware. more

Travel at your own risk! ...with this co. 5/25/2017

I would not reccommend anyone to travel with this company. They planned a poor trip to Europe, with dirty hotel stays, bed bugs, cheap food included. And they received poorreviews, and negative responses from the customers. They blamed their constituents and 3rd party when in essence they failed to do the research. Now they refuse to accomodate the people. Instead, they offered a $300 travel voucher towards the next trip with their company used within a year. What an insult! more

Amtrak Cross Country 12/14/2016

I have travelled on this trip 4 times on 2 different routes. Not for everyone but most enjoyed. People do not understand cross country on Amtrak means riding to each destination. more

Travel At Its Finest Traverler 12/13/2016

I traveled with this company to Dubi and to Dallas Cowboys Football Game. I have also traveled with this company on the cross country trip. On all three trips that went on everything was first class all the way. Our hotels were all 5 star and centrally located. The host was always helpful and very professional. They always have a lot included in their packages. I would recommend Travel At It's Finest to anyone who looks to have an upscale and delightful vacation. more

A Trip 10/24/2016

Cross country train tour. Had safe travels going and returning. Not every thing in print makes a golden experience.Tours lacked in quality and time allotted. No tour as stated in print was provided for The Grand Canyon. Once inside the entrance and off the bus, when asked the group leaders; Where is the tour guide?...I WAS TOLD AMIST HAND AND FLAGGING ARM MOVEMENTS TO JUST GO ON THE PATH.LIKE, what path? REALLY? NO PLANNED TOUR THAT DAY.THE GROUP LEADER did not explain eating arrangements. I was LEFT wondering around looking for the designated place to eat, while in Las Vegas.Only to find out I needed a required wrist band for entry that would be honored the following morning. No plan was made aware to me about how, when, where, who was going to give me the wrist band.So had to search out a group leader for a wrist band.Lots of hick ups and burps along the journey due to lack of effective relaying information. But, once I figured out what to do and where to go and got over the confused situation, I was good to go and eagerly anticipated the next city with great expectations. HOWEVER, I did not expect to have my bubble of a good city tour or hotel experience be burst another time and for the rest of the trip. More insight needs to be in place concerning people skills, providing quality tours, effective ways to get information to everyone, not just a select few who happen to over hear a conversation and I happen to run into someone and hear their version, better organization skills for luggage handling and easy color code tags for each designated bus.Just a little fore thought and plain good ole common sense goes a long way. Over 30 years experience, should have taught this agency something on how to make things run smoothly. Based on my posted pictures on Facebook, folks want to take the cross country train tour. So, there is always hope in the future for a wonderfully planned and carried out cross country train tour with Travel At It's Finest. more

Totally Disgusted 8/3/2016

I just returned from the cross country train trip and was totally disappointed. After riding the train all day and all night, we arrived in Chicago and waited an hour on the street for a bus and immediately take a drive by tour of Chicago and then dropped off at our hotel. The next morning its back to the train for a 36 hour ride to AZ. Each destination we were put up in the cheapest hotel in town. When we got to California, instead of lodging in Los Angeles we stayed in Ontario, CA in the middle of nowhere in a bedbug, roach infested filthy smelly hotel (The Radisson). There was nowhere to walk to on anything to do. The next day we did another drive by tour and then back to the train. This was a total waste of money to spend six days on a train ride only to spend a few minutes at each location except for Las Vegas. The leaders were very rude and treated us like second class citizens. We were dropped at one restaurant to eat and the tour leaders ate someplace different. Luggage was lost and damaged and the leaders had a very nonchalant attitude. I've traveled for over 40 years and this is the first time that I've ever been expected to stay at such a disgusting hotel. Before the trip was over with about 20 people returned home by airplane at their own expense. We were not told in advance that two of the destinations were five hour bus rides. If you like being stuck on a train for days at a time with no showers, nasty bathrooms and limited food options, then perhaps this is for you. Never again for me more

Complaint/Response to Totally Disgusted Online Post Amtrak July 20 – August 3, 2016 Complaint: After riding the train all day and all night, we arrived in Chicago and waited an hour on the street for bus and immediately take a drive by tour of Chicago. The next morning it’s back on the train for a 36 hour ride to Arizona. Response: The train left DC Union Station at 4:05pm and arrived in Chicago by 9:00am the next morning – which is not all day and all night. Due to security measures at the Amtrak in Chicago, the busses must remain offsite until boarding time which has been documented that it took 12-15 minutes for the first bus to arrive and the second bus arrived 10 minutes later. The group was boarded within 10 minutes. Complaint: The next morning it’s back on the train for a 36 hour ride to Arizona. Response: Riding the train, none of the destinations are 36 hours. Complaint: Each destination we were put up in the cheapest hotels in town. When we got to California, instead of lodging in Los Angeles, we stayed in Ontario, CA in the middle of nowhere in a bedbug, roach infested filthy smelling hotel (The Radisson). There was nowhere to walk to or anything to do. Response: Being placed in the cheapest hotels downtown very much untrue. Chicago – Crowne Plaza Downtown – 1st class hotel Flagstaff – Holiday Inn – another 1st class hotel Las Vegas – MGM Monte Carlo – another deluxe 1st class Ontario, California – Radisson Hotel – another 1st class Albuquerque – Marriott – 1st class None of the above hotels were cheap. Flyer and itinerary stated Ontario, California. Complaint: The next day we did another drive by tour and then back to the train. This was a total waste of money to spend six days on a train ride only to spend a few minutes at each location except Las Vegas. Response: Much of the complaints were riding the train and getting back/forth to each city. The trip was advertised as a Cross Country Amtrak trip not by airplane. Each destination was indicated on the itinerary by how many hours it took to get to the next destination providing nothing went wrong with the train. Complaint: The leaders were very rude and treated us like second class citizens. We were dropped at one restaurant to eat and the tour leaders ate someplace different. Response: Travel At Its’ Finest (TAIF) is one of the most respected travel companies in the Nation because of its professionalism, leadership and hard work, providing what we promise and being professional at all times. Each tour leader need to be able to deal with lots of people, sometimes up to 40 or 50 are in a tour, caring for them, answering questions, and handling emergencies, creating safety procedures and taking charge. Complaint: Luggage was lost and damaged and the leaders had a very nonchalant attitude. I have travelled for over 40 years and this is the first time that I’ve ever been expected to stay at such a disgusting hotel. Response: The client’s luggage was found by the bus company. You as customers did not follow the luggage policy provided earlier during the briefing and in your packet. The driver had placed that luggage under the bus in his own personal space due to the amount of luggage he had to place in the luggage carrier. Complaint: Before the trip was over with about 20 people returning home by airplane at their own expense. We were not told in advance that two of the destinations were five hour bus rides. Response: Three months prior to departure on this trip, we had clients traveling from Harrisburg, PA and Texas that requested transportation from last destination so they did not have to stay overnight in DC. It was a total of 9 people. I received a call from 3 people while in Las Vegas prior to going to California and Albuquerque that they wanted to fly back and receive a refund due to leg problems. I wrote down their names and emailed Amtrak so there were only 3 people who decided during the trip requesting to fly back – not 20. Complaint: If you like being stuck on a train for days at a time with no showers, nasty bathrooms and limited food options, then perhaps this is for you. Never again for me. Response: This Amtrak trip went according as scheduled.

Travel At Its Finest 11/23/2006

When I was looking into traveling overseas to London I contacted this company to put together a package. The staff was very helpful and listened to my travel needs. The package they put together looked wonderful but the price was a little high. In the end I went with another agency. The next time I travel I’ll contact them again. more
