Traprock Inn

My wife and I hadn't been to the Traprock Inn for a couple of years but used to go regularly to enjoy one of the best Burgundy Steak dinners on the planet. Two days ago we went back for another. The first thing we noticed was that the parking lot was nearly empty. It used to be hard to find a spot. The next thing I noticed was the smell of stale cigarette smoke as we walked in the door. In spite of these two warning signs, we decided to venture in for a memorable steak dinner. The waitress was pleasant and service was prompt. We ordered our steaks medium well and medium rare. When we got our salads it looked like the small pack of crackers had been recycled a few times. The steaks both came medium rare and quite chewy. The burgundy marinade also tasted like it had been reused too many times. What a shame. It used to be a great place. more

We have gone to this restaurant for 10 years but in the last 2 to 3 years it has decreased in service and food quality. more

Very disappointed with this restaurant. It was higly reccomended by family and friends, so I took my family to dinner on a Saturday night. Pros: nothing positive Cons: very poor food quality / even worse service more

Great food... Stopped in for a late breakfast after a referral from a friend... Food was wonderful, huge portion of hashbrowns, pancakes were wonderful and an omelette second to none.... My wives food was equally tasty (according to her... I did not sample) :) I am a gentleman!!! Our waitress was cuter than a gnats ear and very friendly... Service was prompt and friendly... We will be going back to try the dinner menu soon... Wife said coffee was wonderful... I had OJ.... Prices were very fair... Try it you will like it... If your looking for ambiance... ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm well you know... Over all it was great food, great service... and NO I do not won the place or work there... :) Just a happy first time but not last time customer!!! more

This place used to have great food. Stopped in a few months back and had horrible food. I gave the Trap Rock a second chance for breakfast on a Monday. We waited almost an hour for our food. The hashbrowns were cold and my over-medium eggs were raw. Sorry Trap Rock - you used to be a great solid place for chow. more
