Great Microbrewery in Old Town St. Charles 3/20/2006

Trailhead Brewery is the sister restaurant to the well known Lewis and Clark restaurant located a little further down Main Street. Trailhead offers a great selection of beer brewed on the premises. My favorite way to enjoy the beer is to order the sampler which contains large samples of each of the beers so you can see which flavors you prefer. Trailhead has good food and a fun, although somewhat loud, atmosphere. It is a great place to meet friends or hang out. more

This is a great microbrewery. They have a great selection of beers which are brewed on site. In addition they have a wonderful menu of both appetizers and entree's. It is a great place to meet for happy hour, lunch or dinner. It has several floors and a very warm cozy inviting atmosphere. The servers are very courteous and the restaurant is very clean. The food is always fresh and hot. more

Trailhead is a great place! 8/31/2005

Trailhead Brewery in Old St. Charles is a great place to go. They have a full bar and restaurant with a great menu. What makes Trailhead unique is that they brew many of there beers they serve. In addition to the beer they brew, they carry Anheuser Busch products. It’s a very fun place to go and has a neat atmosphere. It has several levels and the decor is great. They actually have large brew tanks inside. Check it out! more

Great Beer 8/20/2005

I went shopping during the annual "Festival of the Little Hills" in St. Charles. We decided to stop for lunch at the Trailhead Brewery. It was a great stop for lunch and a cold beer (its hot outside). The wait for our food was a little long but it wasn't too bad. I had a club sandwich with crab bisque soup...very tasty. My sister had the chicken bar-b-que sandwich which she said was a little dry. The beer was awesome. I recommend the rasberry beer. The prices were very reasonable (around $8 for sandwiches). The favorite dish at our table was the sweet potatoe with maple sauce. Overall a very pleasant dining experience. more

Yummy Yummy 8/11/2005

Trailhead Brewing Company was one of the first restaurants I visited when we moved to the Saint Louis area. The atmosphere is great, food portions are huge and everything is fresh. There is an actual brewery inside of the restaurant with floor to ceiling windows that display the brewery. The location is nice as well. It is located in the heart of historic downtown St. Charles. more

It later served as a trailhead to fur traders, settlers and even frontiersman Daniel Boone. To hikers and bikers, Trailhead marks one of the eastern Missouri entrances to the Katy Trail.
