Awesome and fun! Went last weekend with 6/2/2012

Awesome and fun! Went last weekend with my boy. His mouth nearly hit the ground when we get there and it's gone. Big sign in the window says moved around the corner. So, we go there and now they have chairs out front and playtables. The girl inside said they fit the whole thing inside merry go round and I'd say she's right. Still fun and packed with toys. Still have lots of Legos. We bought a star wars set for his 'graduation'. Great service, great toys! We'll be back. more

Great Toys! 7/19/2010

I don't know what these folks are talking about I have been more than several times and played at the play tables with my toddler and was treated just fine. My wife does the shopping so I didn't even buy anything, but all we got were smiles and a friendly hello. Anyway, my son has a great time there and they have a great selection. My wife shops there alot and we both like the friendly small store attitude. We try to avoid the box stores and it is a treat to be able to shop and play downtown. Pros: friendly, local, fun toys Cons: parking sometimes tough more

Not Recommended ! Stay Away! 3/2/2009

Overpriced and not friendly. I went in to look for a gift for my daughter. The counter clerk acted like I was annoying her by simply being in the store. My wife brought our daughter in about ten minutes later and the clerk got up and stared at us until we left - which wasn't long. I can't imagine they are running a store. It was the most unfriendly shopping experience I've ever had in a toy store. Pros: Some Interesting Items Cons: Surly staff, annoying service, bad layout more

Do not take your child here 8/21/2008

I love a good toy store. It is such a joy seeing kids play with great toys that stimulate the imagination. Unfortunately, kids cannot do that at Toyopolis, which is not a kid-friendly place. \r \r I went there with my 3 year-old son, who proceeded to play with a fwe toys that were unwrapped and out on a play table, and at one point turned his attention to a stuffed animal/hand puppet hanging on a peg next to the play table. The woman at the counter treated us like we were about to break her finest china dishes, and actually had the nerve to tell my son not to play with the stuffed animal, as if he were going to somehow break it. I cannot believe that -- it's a TOY STORE!!! Children are supposed to go in and play with the toys! My son was not opening boxes or damaging anything, but simply playing with something that would be near impossible to break! I cannot recall the last time that I was treated so rudely.\r \r It's clear to me that this place is for people who have wads of money to spend on overpriced toys, but not for the kids of Santa Fe. Whether or not you are a local, I urge you not to patronize a toy store run by a Grinch! Pros: Location Cons: Mean salesperson more
