TOYS!!! 10/14/2005

I saw this store in an article about neat things to see in NYC. I love japanimation and all sorts of kid toys, so I had to see. They have since expanded and carry a larger selection of toys that when I first started going a couple years ago. Piece of advice, if you see something you want, buy it. Items just walk of there, after you look at it. Their prices are high for some items and they are really big on vintage toys and signed memorabilia. more

Rare Toys 8/21/2005

Toy Tokyo is one of the greatest toy stores around the city. They contain the rarest and hottest toys around the world. Most of the toys and posters are imported from Japan and Europe. It is a great place for many tourists that love to collect antiques and collectibles. And if you are Star Wars fan you can’t miss out this place. They have the oldest and newest collection ever. It has two floors and it’s a must visit place. more

overwhelmingly good selection 8/5/2005

I’ve actually only been to Toy Tokyo once, but I was so impressed, I’ve got to write a review. One may remember that I’m a geek and collected Catwoman stuff for a while. I know my way around a collectibles store, but when I walked into Toy Tokyo, I didn’t know where to begin. Not because it’s poorly organized (it's not), but because there is so much to look at. They focus on toys, so it might not be the best place for, say, that collectible lunchbox you've been looking for, but it definitely wouldn't hurt to try.
