Went there for the 1st time a few weeks ago and I am still bothered by what I saw. The owner...1st of all is a drunk hillbilly with jacked up teeth who seems to think it's ok to hit on woman half his age! He made some sexual references to my friend's neice about how cute she was and how beautiful her hair smelled? Gross! Not to mention while we were sitting outside on the deck we were approached not once but 2 times by an older man trying to sell us cocaine! I'm no pro but I have never been asked to buy cocaine from a complete stranger.\r This place is a dive! If you are female do not go here! It is really rowdy and it's obvious there is alot of drug use going on in here, there was also a woman there with blonde hair making a fool out of herself by grabbing her crotch and yelling profanities to anyone who would listen, we left shortly after we saw that. You would think anderson would have nicer places but all of the bars I've been to around here are full of drunk, ignorant, uneducated hillbillies. more

You will actually have to go there - waste your time, money, and dignity, in order to get the full effect of this trashy outpost in Anderson.....The inside is small and crowded, with the local-walkins grabbing the few good seats...I actually made the mistake of taking my girlfriend...Everytime she went to the bathroon, someone grabbed her ass, and made lewd remarks (I didn't know this until much later-she knows my temper)..The beer was warm, and over-priced..Maybe the draft beer was colder ? My girlfriend and I refer to the place as the 'ugly bar' - The guys out number the girls in about an 8-1 ratio, and no one in there was in the least bit attractive. Just a lot of older local drunks, and few gals who looked like they'd sleep with you for a 'rock'.... Maybe we just came on a bad night ? Or, maybe that was a 'good night', lol............. more

They added a new deck last year and with the summer nights drying up and cooling down, it's a great place to have a converation and an ice cold drink. It's fenced in so you feel like you are in your own oasis. Salute' Pros: Outdoor patio, friendly, good drink specials Cons: Indoors is small so if it rains, not enough space! more

As an unbiased patron of Towerview, I feel like I must address the slanted, negative feedback that a few have chosen to post. It would be my guess that these negative comments are posted by disgruntled, former employees or undesirable patrons that are no longer welcome at the bar due to their antics. I'm surprised this local dive is still in business. I noticed that the owner hasn't pulled a gun on any minors as of late (as mentioned in the local media)-(that's gotta help).....They have added a new deck out back that really looks out of place. It's kind of like putting a tuxedo on a pig......I stopped in a few weeks ago to see if anything had changed since I was in last - Well, besides the deck, and some really bad bands - it's about the same. Same old regulars stumbling in, and taking their usual spots at the bar. Kids still running rampant around the property. Yelling and screaming from obvious domestic disputes that are occuring in the immediate area outside the 'bar'. Sounds like it was coming from the roach motel, probably section 8 apartment complex that borders the property. I'm 6'2"", weigh about 275, and almost asked for an escort out to my car..... If you have any class, or if you get embarassed easy, then I probably wont see you there - If you live in the neighborhood, if you don't have a car, if your within walking distance, and if you just don't give a crap about what other people think - then your going to be right at home.........My guess is, if you see any positive feedback posted here - it probably came from the owner pretending to be an unbiased customer ? Local neighborhood bar. Has its band of regulars but due to the owner, who is socially retarded, they never hold onto bartenders. By last count, he had gone through more than 60 bartenders in the mere 4 years since he bought this place. The drinks are overpriced and, if you're a good looking female, chances are the owner will be there 10 minutes after he's seen you on one of the cameras to slobber all over you in person.
