We are very pleased with our experiences at AutoNation White Bear. We recently turned in our 2011 Fusion for a 2014 model, much improved: tighter turning radius, back-up screen on the dash (extremely valuable), and no more pesky wheel covers. The best part of the experience was working with Phil Goldstein. who is, hands down, the best sales professional we have ever met: knowledgeable, delightful, and thorough. By the time we left, we were confident that we knew enough about the car to have to review the manual only for the finer points. Phil and Dave Orton also made the final transaction easy. We will continue to be returning customers, and would recommend both AutoNation and Phil Goldstein (and the Fusion) when considering your next vehicle.\r more

I recently took my truck to AutoNation for a collision repair, through an insurance claim, and it was an extremely frustrating situation. When I dropped my truck off I clearly detailed all the issues I was having after the accident, the same issues I informed the insurance company about prior to bringing my truck in, and gave them a copy of what my insurance company had already estimated for repairs. I was told I would receive a daily call updating me on the status of my vehicle which never happened. When I did receive a call, from the insurance company that was covering the claim, I was told that they were not going to cover portions of the claim. I would have to call the mechanic regarding the other issues because the insurance guy didn't understand what damage we were talking about. That is when the trouble really started. I called the first mechanic (Dave) and spoke to him and he told me he would have another mechanic call me back because he had never been informed there was another issue to look at other than my bumper. Another mechanic called me back and I began to describe the issue with my vehicle, as soon as he started to reply the store manager grabbed the phone and interrupted our conversation to tell me that nothing else would be covered under the claim. The manager didn't even know what we were talking about and he refused to let me get a word in edgewise to clarify the actual problem. The manager kept insisting we were talking about a different issue and he was adamant that there is no way it could have been caused by the accident, however he wasn't talking about the same thing I was. I even had to put my wife on the phone because I was getting so frustrated with the store manager (who isn't a mechanic and had never even seen my vehicle) not listening to what I was saying. He wouldn't let my wife talk either or listen to her. He was extremely rude and pushy. We had to get our insurance agent to call them to get them to take my truck for a test drive. They called the insurance agent back to tell him that the store manager could find no issue when he took the truck out and completely invalidated our concern, but a later review of our ""tattler"" in the vehicle showed he only went 2 miles with a top speed of 52 miles on his ""test"" drive which isn't going to allow someone (especially someone who isn't a mechanic) to accurately evaluate the performance of a truck. At that point they had no other ""authorized"" repairs left on my vehicle yet I didn't hear back from them for days. Finally four days later I called them to inquire when I could pick up my truck since they weren't willing to actually check out the other issue and was told they were waiting for me to call them. The store manager immediately had attitude with me and was talking over me when I was asking about getting my truck back. This man has no concept of customer service or even general decency. Based on their poor customer service, rude management and lack of thoroughness I would never recommend anyone bring their vehicle here, even if the repairs are being covered by insurance. more

I brought my car into their serive shop, It just needed a oil change when I went there. Just about a half mile down the road the car would stall and not run properly after I left the shop. The service manager had an attitude and a poor custumer service skillset when I tried communicating with him about the cituation. He gave me more reasons why it is my fault, before I could relay my message. While the car was there their tech let the car battery go dead after 45 minutes of the lights being left on and the door open. The service manager I spoke with could of in my opinion gave the car a diagnostic test and went from there. So instead of takeing a small amount of time to see if the tech made a mistake he lost a customer and I plan on spreading the word. I study at a local college and said what happend and 5 out of the 6 people in the group had something negative to say about Tousley Ford in White Bear Lake. more

Andy Solomonson 11/19/2011

Andy Solomonson was the best sales associate. He is very knowledge about Ford products. I believe he was not just out to get a sale, but was really trying to get me the car that met my needs and one that I would enjoy. He genuinely did the best he could to get me a good deal on the car I wanted. I feel he will be there with me not only for the sale but as long as I own this car. I look forward to the journey. My next car purchase will be from him. A five star performance! more

We have been so pleased with our many purchases from Tousley Ford. I have purchased several vehicles from Tousley Ford and use service and Quick Lane for all maintenance and repairs. My service appointment was to replace tires and look at misc. items and they made sure all issues were taken care of to my satisfaction before I left that day. Everyone was very helpful and they always provide friendly customer service. I would definitely recommend Tousley Ford to others.\r more

Avoid at all cost! 5/23/2008

This is the worst place I have ever purchased a car or truck from. The sales rep, who by the way was the sales manager sold me a truck and did not even relize the features that the truck had. I being younger was so excited so I believed him. Well needless to say when i called the manager on his mistakes, there was nothing he was going to do until I stood in Tousley for 5 hrs pleading my case and than he finally put in a remote car starter. Shortly after I pulled out of the lot my truck broke down! Certified Used my butt! So I had to have it fixed and than about 2 months later the power window and remote starter didnt work again I had to go back and have this fixed. Now it's a year later and my alternator, battery and started went out! GIVE ME A BREAK! I traded in a 2000 grandam that never had one issue for a 2005 and I've had more issues than ever! I call tousley but they cant get it in until a certian date and time, or they dont have a loaner or they are going to charge me a arm and a leg! I expected way more out of such a ""Outstanding"" dealership than what I have received... I WILL NEVER buy another thing from them and I will never reccomend them to anyone! The only nice person over there is Stu and go figure he's a mechanic! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Cons: They dont know what they are selling! more
