If I could make this glow, I would. Seriously, James listened to what I wanted to accomplish with a cut and some color and blew past my expectations. Not only did he fix Veda's mistakes, but he suggested some enhancements that would improve the overall look. Tonight I came home from A Total New You and my husband was obviously dreading the results. His mouth literally dropped open and he actually said that he loved it. My two little girls told me that "mommy's hair is really pretty today." If you're a mom, then you know that's all you need to keep going back. more

I'll Be Back! Helen came highly recommended as a colorist and she far exceeded that recommendation. The highlights have been perfect two times in a row (which did not happen elsewhere) and she didn't go chop chop with the scissors. Helen made the time pass quickly since I am not exactly good at sitting for over 10 minutes. This IS the only salon I will go to. Also, thanks to the gals at the front desk for all of their help! more

Three generations get their hair done at this Salon! (My mother, myself, and my daughter!) All of us have Christine cut and color our hair- and she couldn't be any better! We all love her! She is always fun, and listens to what we want! It is easy to make an appointment, and I also appreciate the friendly reminder calls! more

Sharon talked with me and listened what I wanted with my hair. She did a fantastic job of cut and color, also explaining products and their use. The conversation is easy and fun with her also. The staff is welcoming and professional, from appointment setting to reminder calls. The salon is decorated very nice. Love to go there. more

I would HIGHLY recommend Mark. He is very professional and has many great ideas and suggestions for a cut and color. Mark has been in the business for years and it shows. I can completely trust him to give me the perfect style and color and something fresh and young! He's also a great guy and fun to talk with!! I have been going to Megan R. since this spring. Never have I gotten more compliments on my hair, both cut and color! And she's so sweet to spend a few hours with every 6 or 8 weeks! She's an absolute gem! The staff at the front desk is always friendly and waiting with a smile when you walk in the door. And they always have a special going~either a way to get a percentage off of products or services. A Total New You Salon is affordable and convenient~located next to Mollica's Italian Deli~so you can even have a cannoli after you get your hair done. I haven't had a manicure or pedicure yet, but that's next on my list! more

I live in Cuba, New Mexico and drive 335 miles to get my hair done by Meghan at ATNY. Meghan has done my hair for 2 years and I am ALWAYS happy with her creativity! She makes time for me and my Anglo (Nordic) hair (can't seem to find many Anglo hair-stylists in New Mexico, including Santa Fe!). The ladies at the front are not only friendly, but they know my name and stylist as I am walking through the door! If you have never tried the St. Paddy's Day customer appreciation (friends, neighbors, fire department, or anyone else's) corn beef and cabbage, you have missed something truly spectacular! I read up on ATNY and found they have the best reviews, and was going to go there. Then I got lazy and decided to go to somewhere closer to where I'm staying in Pueblo West. BIG MISTAKE--it was a DISASTER!! I then called ATNY begging for help with an ugly orangey-blonde color that would not look good on anyone. I was able to make an appointment for the very next day!! My first impression when walking into ATNY for the first time was totally positive. It is spacious, airy, full of natural light, very clean, and quiet. The front desk staff made me feel welcome right away. Sharon did my color correction, and she definitely turned a sow's ear into a silk purse!! I walked in with horrible hair that made me want to just chop it all off, and left with a color I can live with until I can try to get it back to where I want it. This is another reason I have a great deal of respect for Sharon and her skills--she put the health of my hair and the need to avert further damage over trying to give me the exact color I wanted. She was also a great calming influence when I was freaking out!!!! I called the next day and Sharon was very gracious and took the time to answer my questions and reassure me. My layers also got trashed in the disaster in P.West, so I am returning to ATNY today to have that corrected. I totally trust that Sharon will make it look great!! I highly recommend this salon!!!! I've been with Helen for a few years now, and can't imagine having anyone else do my hair. Her haircuts are perfect, her coloring is amazing and her "chair-side" manner is just SO MUCH FUN! In fact, Helen is much more than an accomplished stylist, she is a friend and confidante. Thank you, Marla, for introducing her to me! That's another thing: Marla intuitively knows who will be best in her salon to pair you with. One appointment with Helen and I was hooked. Having been a stylist while I was working my way through college, I recognize a good staff. Marla knows how to pick people who represent her salon well. I would venture to say that anyone you make an appointment will do a good job for you if you do your job and communicate with your stylist properly. And just one more tidbit while I'm at it: If you have to cancel your appointment, even if it's on the same day, PLEASE call and let the salon know. If you leave a hole in your stylist's schedule, she doesn't get paid for that time. Pros: Excellent service, congenial staff, Marla is a great owner! Cons: Somewhat on the pricey side; but you get what you pay for! more

I have been trying to find a true hair stylist for about 5 years now. I have finally found a place I know I can trust and count on. I have very fine hair and Kristin knew exactly HOW to cut it so that I would be happy with my style. She also spent time with me to show me how to maximize the use of products and recommended what she KNEW would work for me! Amazing. Someone really cared! And my cut and style are PERFECT! The I met Jenean for my brows and lip waxing - kind, gentle and meticulous! She was wonderful!!!! Also - as a whole - the salon is very clean! That is one of my number one concerns - I want to go somewhere that is clean and safe. Outstanding experience! I don't normally schedule appointments in advance - but I did this time! I know this is where I will be taking care of all my hair and styling needs! I highly recommend A Total New You and especially Kristin and Jenean! Thank you so much! I have been there a few times and my boyfriend has too and James has done a perfect job on both of our hair. I have gone to so many salons and the pricing was outrageous and they wouldn't do a very great job. I have always been happy with my hair when I go to him and I recommend him to everyone I know. I've been Helen's client for over 5 years now and it has totally changed my salon experience. BH (Before Helen) I salon-hopped without a truly totally satisfying experience - usually redoing or undoing what had been done, at least to some extent because I have very challenging hair and very high expectations of the professionals at a salon. AH (After Helen - AH!!!!) this has all changed. She listens to everything I have to say and seems to also pick up on what I don't say, then she starts to work. And viola! the result is marvelous, every time! Pros: She listens! She hears! She creates! Cons: none more

Have to say I have never had a tatoo but really wanted to not mess with having to do eyeliner. So I went for it. Jenean used a numbing gel that made it so it felt more like a tickle on my eyelids than anything uncomfortable. She has a wonderful table that was very comfy. I could tell she was a perfectionist and really took her time to make sure it looked great. I love how quick I can now do my makeup now. I always felt that the eyeliner was always the most time consuming when I got ready in the morning. I went for my first visit this evening. They had donated some cut and color specials to Peak FM's Teacher of the Week. I think it's fabulous that they are willing to donate time and money to support our community teachers! What a wonderful treat! Megan Stewart did my hair - she was kind, easy to be around, and very knowledgeable. I appreciate the fact that their services seem quite affordable and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Sanay is amazing at what she does. She listens to what you want, and will also suggest what she thinks will make you look even better. She never makes the sessions awkward like most other places, she keeps a good conversation going while doing your hair... and of course my hair always looks great when she is done! Sanay- is all I have to say!!! I am so incredibly pleased with my haircut. I have gone to several different hair salons, but with no luck finding an individual who would cut/color the way I want, or even close for that matter. I was so impressed with the way Sanay had cut my niece's hair (the color is beautiful too) that I made the appointment two days later. It has been about 2-3 weeks now and everyday I wake up I look forward to the way I will be styling my hair that day. Sanay took her time to help me find the perfect colors (I am extremely picky) and I cannot thank her ENOUGH for her fabulous sense of style, and being a joy to be around, WHAT A TALENT!!!
