Good Mexican food 6/29/2006

Tortilla Flats has awesome Mexican food. The ambiance is great, though the lighting at night is a bit too dim for me. The waiters were friendly, the place is loud, and the food is really great. My brother in law had the Ceviche, which seemed overpriced for what it was, but other than that, it was great. They were hosting a wedding at the time, they also cater and have a bar area. They have great "Taco Tuesdays"...tacos for only 50 cents! more

Great view, good Mexican Food 11/23/2005

The reason to visit this place is for the view, although if you live in the area you know that Laguna Beach is a mere 10 minutes away as well, and the views there trump any view of Lake Mission Viejo. View aside, the food is consistent, but nowhere near outstanding. The menu is probably too extensive, and the place has an old feeling to it. I'd recommend it if you can't get over to Javier's or Las Brisas in Laguna Beach. more

A Must Visit for Mexican Food Lovers 8/5/2005

Tortilla Flats is situated off the beautiful Mission Viejo Lake. The combination of the food, the calmness of the lake, and the friendly service makes this restaurant an ideal restaurant for dates and business lunches/dinners. During lunch time, it isn't uncommon to see large parties eating outdoors near the shores under the large roofing. Expect the waiters to add in a mandatory gratuity to all large parties. more
