Best. Food. Ever. 2/7/2011

This place has to be Rosemount's diamond in the rough! My wife and I went here on a whim after hearing a blurb about it on the news a few weeks back. They are located a little bit further away from Rosemount's business district, and closer to Rosemount High School. My wife and I kept coming back to try several items on their menu and here's our synopsis of it. The pizza: The pizza is by far one of *the best* pizzas we have ever had! We were hesitant to try it at first due to the previous reviewer's remarks, but Kaniatron couldn't be more wrong. Being a sausage fanatic, I wanted to try their sausage pizza. The cheese wasn't as heavy as described, and was actually very flavorful. The owner told us that it comes from a dairy farm in Wisconsin, which would explain why it is so darn tasty! The sauce on the pizza is perfect, not too sweet and not too spicy. My wife and I love their thin crust which is nice and crisp! The pizza was cut into squares making it easier to eat. I *loved* the big sausage piece that was on each square piece; it was just enough for one! The cheese steaks: Epic. That is all I can say. I mean, juicy meat dripping down your hand as you eat it with fried onions, tasty baguette bread with White American cheese, what's not to love about it? My wife and I were searching for the place that did authentic Philly steak sandwiches and this place delivered! The Greek food: My wife and I had tried their combination plate which has gyro, pita, Greek salad and a spinach pie. This plate is big enough for two to split and it was very well done. I find the meat to be spiced nicely and the Tzatziki sauce was very good! The lettuce and tomatoes on their Greek salad was very crisp and fresh, complemented by their Greek dressing and feta cheese crumbles. The spinach pie was probably one of the messiest foods on this plate because of the flakiness of it! It was very good, but very messy to eat. Apparently they had just opened up their full service bar area, which is just a beautiful setting if you like a warmer atmosphere, whereas the older side of the restaurant has a nostalgic feel, but is a little on the older side. The service was very prompt, the owners were friendly and we will continue to go here as it is much closer to our house! Our verdict: This place is a must if you're in Rosemount! The philly steaks and pizzas as well as their Greek food were out of this world! We saw some interesting Greek Fusion style foods that we have yet to try as well as their Sunday brunch buffet, but will do so and review that later! more

I suppose it hits or miss with this place! 9/9/2010

I tried to give this place many chances. First with the Philly cheese steaks then the gyros then pizza and finally the meat ball subs. Lets start with pizza toppings are good for well sausage, pepperoni, and Canadian bacon but I believe there is a little more to pizza then just some meat. First off the sauce is quite sweet but it well lets say alright. Then there comes the cheese its got to be the worst cheese disaster ever so much cheese I am surprised my cholesterol didn't spike. The crust well it needs work too. It didn't stay crunchy long I am guessing from the pounds of cheese grease oozing into it. So I give this pizza at 3.5 out of 10. Oh no not the Philly cheese steaks. One comment the bread oh my the bread thats all I can say. It is usually not soft and well I believe to be ordered through food vender tastes like sysco to me. Over all only thing saving it is the filling its semi descent. So I give the the Philly cheese steak a 2 out of 10. Ok for the gyro I would say this is as good as Tops gets. The gyro meat is good seasoned well and cooked properly. The pita bread is fresh and you can tell its baked fresh. The tazakiki aka cucumber sauce is good as well, the only down fall is the toppings cheap lettuce cheap tomatoes. I think this is due to where they purchase their food. Overall 6 out of 10. Meatballs subs were good the meatballs were flavorful seasoned well and the marinara was fine, but once again the down fall is the sub bread they use. 5 out of 10 I guess for me I see the potential in places like this but the lack of enthusiasm is a buzz kill. Mom pop restaurants have a general direction but lack the necessary ingredients to make their ordinary food extra ordinary. They need a culinary makeover and some food education. STOP BUYING CHEAP BREAD AND MAKE IT YOURSELF! BUY LOCAL FRESH PRODUCE! You have all the equipment step up your game TOPS! more

Great Philly Cheese Steak, Friendly staff 8/31/2006

My husband and I ordered 2 Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches to go - the lady who took the order on the phone was really friendly. The sandwiches were delicious! We're looking forward to trying other items on their menu really soon. One thing to note is that the whole-size hoagies are 18"" and the half-size ones are 9"". We didn't know this when ordering so we ordered 2 whole-sizes. Needless to say, we didn't eat them all, but enjoyed what we were able to finish.\r \r Their menu is an interesting combination of Greek (ex. Spanakopita), Italian (ex. Spaghetti w/Italian sausage), and a variety of pizzas, including a taco pizza and Grecian special, in addition to traditional varieties such as veggie, pepperoni, etc. You can build your own pizza too.\r \r I can't comment on the atmosphere of the restaurant for dining, but as far as take out goes, this is a terrific option if you don't mind coming to Rosemount. Delivery is available, but I'm guessing the delivery area is fairly restricted. more

Rosemount's Little Secret...AMAZING 10/6/2005

TOPS Pizza - where were you all my life? Coming from Philadelphia, this is my home away from home - literally. The owners, Markos and Soula, are always there to greet you by name in this quaint haven of Rosemount. They will definitely cater to you. This place is a breath of fresh air amidst the same old corporate giants out there. You want Greek food? They have it. Gyros, spanakopita, you name it. You want REAL Philly cheese steaks - this is the ONLY place. Their pizza is amazing, and EVERYTHING is homemade and fresh, and their pizza specials are unique. Try the Grecian style! The service is phenomenal, what more can you ask? Don't leave without the Baklava dessert!! Also great for rehearsal dinners, catering, graduations, etc. They even deliver!! Pros: Service, Great Variety, VERY Clean Cons: None! more
