Like that they have large selection of recycled and non plastic toys. Like the blocks and erector sets. Friendly staff.

Excellent 6/29/2006

A terrific selection of learning toys, the ones you'd never find in a Toys R Us. Those are mostly junk with a few redeeming qualities. Top Ten Toys only stocks quality toys with maybe 1% junk. As an adult, I loved going to this store when my first child was a baby. We could have spent all day here (the adults) looking at these toys, and blowing our wad. Quality demands a higher price, because it will last longer (probably till your grandkids), so this place is worth it. more

Excellent selection, but missing some toys for boys 6/15/2006

We're big fans of this store and their selection is very good when you're looking for more classic toys and non-"Toys R Us" type of toys. I can't wait until our boys are older and we can start buying the science kits. Their strength is educational toys. One thing that's frustraiting, though, is that they have some sort of politically correct policy about stocking guns and other "violent" toys, including military stuff, which are part of any boys essential toy arsenal. more

The go-to place for birthday and holiday presents! 3/29/2006

It's a bit of a tossup between this place and TreeTop Toys in Lake Forest Park, but Top Ten wins for having more and better stickers and art supplies. They have all the good stuff, no horrible Bratz dolls or other products of the devil, and the staff is a bunch of big kids--they actually seem to have played with everything. Honestly, I have just as much fun going in there without my kid. more

Best toy store in Seattle 3/4/2006

Great place to buy toys in Seattle. They have a solid selection, good service and generally you can't go wrong. more

Top Ten Toys 3/2/2006

I've been going to Top Ten Toys since I was young, and it is one of my favorite toy stores. They have an excellent supply of classic toys (wood and metal, anyone?) as well as the latest in science kits, craft kits, and Legos. Stuffed animals, dolls, musical instruments, plastic animal figures, baby toys, hobby supplies - you'll find pretty much all of it here, and you can feel good knowing that you're supporting quality toys and a small business. more

Quality, fun toys 1/19/2006

This wonderful neighborhood toy shop carries an extensive selection of quality, classic toys. They tend away from Barbie and electronic gizmos and go for creative, inspiring toys. Very helpful and fun staff. more

Top Ten Toys best for toys/games/etc. in the region 1/6/2006

Wow, was I overwhelmed by this place and in disbelief that it took me twelve years of my children's lives to find this place. The selection is tremendous - they have everything except any toy that resembles a weapon (i.e. NO nerf guns!). This store also has an outstanding selection of books. more

the 'anti toys-r-us'! 11/11/2005

this store is just fabulous. first, it's large, easy to get to (off of greenwood on 85th) and has a huge parking lot. second, the prices are fair. not super-cheap but fair. finally, the store itself is amazing! when you first walk in, there's a newborn and two's/three's section on your right. from there everything is categorized by activity/toy type - music, art, trucks & cars, books, costumes, sports, etc. they have an incredible selection and ttt carries the cool toys that you can't ever find anywhere else. if you are a fan of the 'baby einstein' videos, you'll really appreciate top ten toys since they seem to carry all of the toys that are shown on the videos. more

My pick for Top Toy Store in Seattle 10/19/2005

Top Ten Toys gets my vote for best toy store in Seattle. It is housed in a large space with easy parking. The store is always well-organized and stocked with fun, educational toys. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. My son especially loves playing the the Thomas trains. I also appreciated that the restroom has both an adult toilet and a kid-sized toilet. This is a place that is all about the kids! While their prices may be higher than the chain stores, I don't mind paying a small premium to support such a wonderful, local, independent store! more

Best toy store in town! 9/22/2005

Top Ten Toys is a great toy store. The staff is knowledgeable and love toys! You can find all kinds of things to spark little imaginations. I especially like their science sections. This is a toy store committed to quality toys for kids. They don't carry barbies or toy guns or any of those type of things. This is a great place to shop for the little or big kid in your life! more

This from a former nanny and current postpartum doula, and auntie to many - this is the place to go! 8/19/2005

Top Ten Toys is just wonderful. An independent toy store (we hate toys r us, don't you?) The selection isn't just enormous, it's intelligent. So many smart toys, a teacher's haven! Fun toys for all ages, from infancy to adult. Puzzles and games, really fun stuffed animals, dolls and puppets. Great book selection for kids, a spanish book and toy section, fun science toys, art supplies, and so much more. I love the select - your - own marble station, from huge shooters to tiny ones too! Stickers, cards, music on CD's as well as instruments. The Playmobil selection is stupendous. They've got great realistic animal models, too! The things they don't carry? I doubt you'd want your kids to have it anyway. more

Absolutely wonderful toy store 8/19/2005

I could spend hours in this store and I am an adult. Any age would have fun in this place. I found many of the toys I enjoyed as a child. There are crafts, puzzles, kites, stuffed animals, educational toys, marbles and on and on. We had a lot of fun doing our stocking shopping here one year. The staff is very nice and mellow. Parking is easy. more

great for gifts, or just to let your kids pick some stuff out 8/18/2005

this has lots of crafts & kits, toys, and almost anything else child would want. it is very resonably priced, and any kid could sit there for hours just contemplating the huge selection. the sale racks are usually pletiful, and those will give you great quality for very little. i would highly recommend coming here to get birthday gifts, even if it is kind of out of the way. more

Great Toy Store 8/17/2005

Top Ten Toys is a great store for baby and kids toys. They have sections for various age groups, infant to adolescent. The selection of education toys is terrific. Lots of quality wood toys for baby, old fashioned hand made stuff, etc. Everything we found here, our baby loves. Plus, the staff is friendly, mellow, and very helpful. more

Forget Toys R Us 8/17/2005

Next time you're in Greenwood stop into Top Ten Toys. From musical instruments to multi-sided dice, they have it all. They have all the standard toys plus a super knowledgeable staff to help you with difficult toy buying decisions. They are never pushy and always helpful. You will always find what you weren’t looking for there—it’s just that kind of store. more

Need a gift for a child? (or someone childlike?) 4/19/2005

As previous reviewers have said, Top Ten Toys is a fabulous place to buy gifts. Everything is quality. The staff is great at recommending gifts based on age of the child and personality traits, or your preferences. They have a great range of prices in every toy area too, so you don't have to be depressed if you don't have a lot of cash to spend on a particular gift. My daughters spent their Christmas money in a jiff, and I knew I would feel good about what they chose. You just can't go wrong. Lots of vintage-y toys too. Few if any media-infused toys, most are open-ended to help young imaginations wander and discover for themselves. YYYYYYummy store. more

Great source for unique, less-commercial toys that are meant to last. Great book selection, too! Staff were helpful and obviously love their jobs. more

Fantastic Independent Toy Store 3/9/2005

Do you ever get a sinking feeling when you walk into Toys 'R' Us? Then you should visit Top Ten Toys in Greenwood. It's an awesome store full of educational, classic and unique toys and games. It's one of the few really good independent toy stores around and the selection is great. You won't find much high technology or violent stuff here. more

Best quality toys 8/25/2004

This toy store is stocked with quality toys and is a heap of fun to visit. They carry all the cool European brands like Haba and the quality wooden toys that you know are PVC free and will last forever. I'm not convinced that they are the cheapest toy store in town, but they are a groovy toy store to support and much more interesting than the likes of ToysRUs. Look out for their in store activities for kids of all ages. more
