Best Mom & Pop Sushi Joint in Town, Best Late night option for great food.... 9/26/2007

The price is comparable to what you'll pay at other sushi restaurants (and hibachi places that serve sushi), but the quality here is definitely higher. Just don't expect the 3-meal size portions that you get at most hibachi restaurants. Yes, you can run up a tab, but we've also had some very affordable meals here - just depends on how you order. Don't expect a lot of glamour & glitz, unless of course, you're going for Midnight Sushi. That's when the younger clan members come out to crank out killer sushi, serve beer and saki to those who prefer sushi to the Waffle House, and the music changes from Japanese muzak to modern alternative and techno tunes, depending on the mood of the joint that night.\r \r Wonderful Unagi-Don. Pros: forget the menu - just ask them to bring you good food, and they will Cons: I can't afford to eat sushi every day, or I would more

Not the best value 7/17/2006

The service was great - quick, attentive and very pleasant. No wait, very casual.\r \r The sushi was OK - not outstanding, not bad. My wife and I ordered three rolls and four nigri + miso soup ($44 total), which in most places is more than enough food, but we left feeling hungry because the portions were small - one of the rolls had only four thin pieces, and the nigri sushi were the smallest I've ever had anywhere. For the $$ I expected more. Pros: No wait, great service Cons: Small portions more

Best Sushi in town 1/11/2005

Hands down best sushi in town. Restaurant has a very homey and authentic feel to it, unlike the big, commercial feel of certain Japanese restaurant chains. Chicken and beef teriyaki is the best in town. Sushi is always fresh. Service is great and the sushi chef/owner definitely knows what he is doing. Pros: Food, Sashimi, Service more
