""No Place Like Home"" 4/6/2011

Timber Ridge is a very calm, cozey, but yet enjoyable place to call home sweet home. I've lived here for a good 7 years and my jesus this place has a fantastic staff. They're always very kind and welcoming towards you. Wheather your short, tall, a lakers fan or whatever they'll love you for you. The pool is amazing yeah its only 5ft but the pool is always clean the baby pool is great for your little ones, its only about 1ft. My niece loves it she'll be there all day. The maintance guys are pretty much there when you need them. 2 years ago when my air condition went out they provided me with fans too keep me cool until my air was back on. (which wasn't long) They have some fun little parties in the office for like bingo night, pool parties, christmas parties, halloween parties and so..the creative staff always has something going on for the residents. I remeber I was on my way to work and I saw Ginger the manager and Rose the assistant manager out by the exist gate giving out free tacos and jucie in the freezing cold before the sun was even up. You just can't beat these amazing prices on the apartments, the location is great, and close to work (you know how the gas prices are shooting up) I always walk to the meat market or valero not because i don't have a car just because of how great the location is. horrible staff, bad management, rude, high energy bills 10/7/2009

This place is HORRIBLE. My fiance and I moved into an efficiency in the beginning of June 2009, and have had problems from the first day. It took them 3 days to get us our keys after putting down the deposit. When we finally got in, there was a washer and dryer sitting in our kitchen blocking the entry. It took them a week to remove them, and then they just left them on our front porch for 2 weeks! About a week after living here, we asked maintenance to turn up the water heater because our shower was freezing, and also to fix the dishwasher that falls out of the counter because it isn't even screwed in. They lied about fixing both, and my fiance had to turn the heat up himself. The dishwasher still hangs out of the counter. \r \r Since then, we have had an electricity bill of $150 a month, well over double what CPS has told us it should be. CPS told us personally that it should be anywhere from $40-60 for an efficiency. When we informed the manager about the issue, she was defensive and ignored us. We had an electrician look at the AC and he said the compressor is about to go out completely, and he's surprised it works at all. We tried to have them replace the compressor, and instead, their maintenance charged it with freon and stood around watering the grass and talking on the phone instead of actually LOOKING at the AC. He didn't take the plating off to look inside it or anything. We could see him from our bedroom window the entire time. It took him about 5 minutes total to pretend to fix it and leave. About a week later, we've had to get a window unit that works better than the complex's unit. \r \r Earlier today, an electrician FROM City Public Service came to look at the meter and the AC and told us that he PERSONALLY had lived here and had such bad problems with them that he had to leave the complex. He told us that this complex is, pardon my wording, a piece of shit. When we tried to discuss the AC issue yet a third time with the manager, ""Ginger"", she was defensive, blatantly rude and disrespectful, and instead of being concerned she acted like she had no idea what we were talking about, and that there WAS no issue to be dealt with. Never have we dealt with anyone so rude or unprofessional. Instead of being concerned, she tried to play the blame game and act as though somehow it was our fault and that we hadn't mentioned anything to her previously. The management is rude, uncooperative, and unresponsive. They hard to get in touch with, never in the office, and don't respond to messages left with their answering service. They then turn it on you and make it seem like your own fault for not contacting them sooner!!!!\r \r We have faxed numerous reports to her office as well as Implicity Management Co., which is in charge of this complex. If the issues are not going to be dealt with, we will be ending our lease due to the management's blatant disregard for the contract, and hitting the management company with a lawsuit. \r \r I STRONGLY advise no one to put themselves in this situation. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPLEX, they WILL screw you over, and won't help you with anything. Always review apartments before moving in. Don't let them ruin your credit or your life. Don't even bother to look!! 10/7/2008

I lived in this apartment complex for two years. The first year wasn't bad and I probably would have recommended this as your first apartment kind of situation. However, this last year was absolutely awful. Management was uncooperative, unresponsive and had no clue what was going on! They were never at the office when you needed them, rarely responded to phone calls left with the answering service. \r \r It took weeks, sometimes never, to get anything fixed. I actually had to threaten to report them to get my kitchen sink fixed (a matter necessary for health code compliance). I lay this solely at the feet of the incompetent office staff. \r \r The maintenance men were the only highlight of living there. These gentlemen were fantastic. When you had a problem, if you went to them, it got fixed. They were always friendly and cordial, ready with a smile. Too bad the office staff did not have their same attitude!!!\r \r The ""gate"" worked probably a total of 3 weeks in the 2 years I was there. The pool was always closed. There was constant vandalism of the apartments, vehicles, etc. \r \r I always try to include the good with the bad, however. The complex is pretty quiet. Where I lived, the parking was ample, but my car was dinged more than once. Parking at the other half of the complex, however, was a nightmare. You could check out movies from the office, but if you didn't hand them in personally, then you might have to pay for them because you ""lost them."" \r \r Good luck to you on apartment hunting. DON'T EVEN waste you time to stop and talk to these folks. You are sure to find a better place to live. Pros: allows large dogs Cons: the office staff! more

not a bad place to live 10/10/2007

this is our first apartment but I am very impressed with all the changes they are making . we have been here for 1 and 1/2 years and in that time they have repainted and landscaped fixed the pool and gym up and done numerous other improvements .they do have problem with parking on the side that I live on but I guess thats not to big a problem you just have to walk a bit if your on this side . I have found the office very helpful with all problems and very nice to work with . they do have a few small rules that are inconvienient but nothing major just things like not being able to store a grill on your porch or deck but overall I think its good . I am not sure I would reccomend it for kids tho as there is really nothing for them . more

Dissapointed & Angry 3/14/2007

For seven years we have resided in these apartments, and disappointedly we are now been let down. The changes began in June 2006 where the super friendly staff left and in came in two women named ""Ginger"" and another woman. They by all means have no sense of customer service unless they have your guarantee that you will lease. Their in-abilities to help serve or manage customers in there complex is obscene and lack of training. The genuine worker is not there, it solely to make the buck and live off the stipend that is received for working here. Thats my opinion. I have had several encounters with these women in requesting that they clean the gym, since the rent was raised, because i would like to use it, ive offered to sweep and clorox wipe they area but i do it for my hygiene purpose and still they do not bother to do so. Ive asked for the new rules and regulations to be given to me, and none have been given or they do not have copies available and i must find the name of the new managers of the complex to have them mailed to me. I requested Air filters because they are supplied for us(its part of our rent, but now ill have to obtain the 'new rules and regulations' to check that).... as to change our own Air filters, which is perfectly fine and i do not mind that but they do not come through, im told that they will send one out to us and that was 3 months ago...I unfortunately going to have to leave here and look to other locations, but i have to say that this is sad and disappointingly to see that the workers of today really don't give any care about customer service. Serve others like you would like to be served. Please consider not renting from this complex they are a really bad lure and you end up disappointed as I am.
