a variety of fun activities for the kids 8/17/2005

Tilden Park is one of those things you don't know about until you have lived in the area or been clued in by a local. It's a wonderful place for walks and hikes but can be fun for kids too. There is a beautiful old merry-go-round for the youngest of riders, as well as a steam train ride that is sure to get all little ones excited. The baby farm animals are also a great treat for everyone! This is also a fun place for a picnic or just enjoying the ootdoors and views. more

Run Wild at Tilden Regional Park! 8/16/2005

Tilden Regional Park is a HUGE playground for children and adults in our own backyard. There are plenty of trails, swimming holes, there's even a place called "Little Farm" where you can see how a farm works! There's a carousel, complete with cotton candy and ice cream vendors, and plenty of places to play frisbee or just relax in the sun. Your family can also reserve a picnic area for parties. There is a swimming area as well, with clear fresh water. At dusk, you will most likely see at least one deer or fox as you make your way out of the park. There are certain times of the year that you should take precautions against deer ticks as well. more
