We have shopped at Thunderbird for many years, and today we had really bad service - I believe their service has really gone down hill lately; we were going to upgrade our bike this year; prepared to spend a bit with this dealership, but we will be going to Arizona to do business. \r \r The sales people lack training in customer service; we did get a call back from the manager, whom was very responsive, but we have traveled all over the US and other places, where we always visit HD dealerships, and can expect outstanding service each time. \r \r Indian is coming out with some really nice bikes and may be giving Harley some competition if the service continues to go south - Harley really needs to take better control of their dealers and what their expectations are for service. \r \r more

The sales staff is AMAZING in all departments. If you're looking to buy a bike, talk to Bam, Andrew, Floyd or Ivy. They are pretty much all amazing there. Motor clothes is GREAT too. Where else can you go in one time and they remember your name next time your there?\r \r We got a bike that was not mechanically sound and were told different things by different people who said they knew what the issue was. They resolved the issue to their satisfaction and PARTIALLY mine. I can't say I'm happy with this resolution, but thanks to the sales staff I would consider buying from them again. more

Rider Class 4/21/2011

My co-worker and I took the class last month, and were very pleased with the program. We were both unsure about riding, and as beginners were very nervous. Our first night of class was great! The instructor was welcoming and encouraged everyone to participate in the conversation. The first day on the range, being even more nervous, everyone started out on the same page. We gradually went from ""walking the bike"" to riding through turns. I accidentally dropped the bike the first day, but was encouraged to get back on and went on to pass my test. My friend did also. I now have a used Harley-Davidson Softail, and LOVE it! The instructors were great, and the class was fun for a beginning rider like myself. more

TODAY THE INSTUCTORS OVER A HARLEY FAILED MY WIFE ON THE RIDERS COURSE. WAS GIVEN NO ANSWER, ONLY THAT SHE COULD COME BACK. NOW, I HAVE BEEN RIDING FOR 36 YEARS, TAUGHT RIDING IN JAPAN ON THE MILITARY BASE FOR 1 1/2 YRS, I SAT ON MY BIKE OFF IN A CORNER WHERE THEY COULD NOT SEE ME, SHE DID REAL WELL FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER RIDEN BEFORE, EVEN BETER THAN THE ONES WHO FELL OVER. THE BIKE THEY GAVE HER HAD THE SEAT TO LOW, A BEN GEAR SHIFT, SO THERE IS NO WAY TO RIDE LIKE THAT. THEY WONT TALK TO US AND NOW WE ARE TOLD THAT THE LEAD INSTRUCTOR LEFT TWON FOR A WEEK RIGHT AFTER THE CLASS. ALSO THEY WERE TEACHING NEW RIDERS IN 40 TO 50 MPH WINDS. THEY ARE NOT PROS AT ALL NOR IS THIS RIGHT. TAKE YOUR MONEY TO SELL YOU A BIKE THE ONES WHO DID MAKE IT SHOULD NOT HAVE. NOW I AM NOT SAYING THIS BECAUSE IT WAS MY WIFE, ITS BECAUSE ITS TRUE. IF YOU CANT RIDE YOU DONT PASS, BUT SHE CAN RIDE. more

The run around. 12/4/2007

I recently their ""Rider'sEdge"" course to get my motorcycle licence. I asked 3 times when I signed up ""Is it ok if I don't know anything about motorcycles"" and all 3 times I got ""They will teach you everything"". Well. I guesed I asked the wrong question. Although they did tell you how to work the motorcycles, if you don't pick up and learn within an hour they appearntly remove you from the field-portion and ask that you pay $150 to retake the field portion. I was out there less then 2 hours before they removed me. I attempted to get a refund since I payed for 10 hours of driving and got 1 and a half they kindly asked me to talk to the Rideredge manager... I'v been told ""She'll be in tomarrow"" 3 times now? Still no refund. \r Only adding to the faustration, there were 2 other people at the field with me. (Total of 3) and 2 instructors. Why couldn't I have time to pratice? I still don't know seeing the two other people in the course with me not only had their own motorcycles but has ridden before... Big waste of time, effort and money... Pros: The floor employees are very kind and helpful. Cons: The rideredge course is very misleading. more
