Thrifty Driving School

My daughter just finished her behind the wheel time with Steve at Thrifty. I paid for 6 hours of driving time and she only received 5. He showed up almost an hour late the first time and came over an hour early today assuming that she would be available to meet his schedule. I discussed the fact that we had not received the time we paid for but he would not fulfill his obligation. My advise...stay away from them...you can get better service elsewhere. more

If I could give minus stars I would. Thrifty Driving school is associated with Kevin Cruz if not owned by him and he is the most rude obnoxious, dishonest, greedy person I have ever met and many like me will attest. Google his name and you will see what comes up unless he has paid someone again to remove them. Go to debtshalloffame com. You will find a company that he owes money to that is claiming that he asked them to remove all his bad reviews off the internet. 2 thumbs up! I met the owner and several of the instructors, and they were great! Service was amazing and speedy. The price range was very nice and the service was very high quality! Someone here made a statement about poor quality of service. I never witnessed that at all! Pros: Instructor was quick to return my calls and the owner was very polite. Service is high quality. My daughter signed up with ""Thrifty Driving School"", online...cost 295.00 She passed all the units in about a weeks time, so then I called to set up the behind-the-wheel training....that's when things got strange. After numerous calls to the school (located on Katella) saying we weren't registered there, they finally figured out that we came by way of internet, and said that they hadn't been paid, but that they'd trust us! Like this was our problem somehow! Then, this very friendly guy (NOT) that always answers the phone, begrudgingly tells us to show up at 7:00 am on Saturday morning so that he can sign her off...(that meant that she could drive with us) and to call back to schedule ""behind-the-wheel"", at a later time. I called several days after that, to set it up, and was then questioned why I was calling so soon...that they recommended a lot of practice before they come out to teach them ""behind-the-wheel"" training!! HELLO!! Isn't that what they are supposed to teach??? So then, ""Ben"",calls my daughter (after 9:00 pm) speaks directly to her (with me listening in) She gives him directions to our home....then he tells her to meet him across the street at the Taco Bell...I guess the directions were too complicated. We live by Canyon High School, not a remote area. My husband is going to insist that ""Ben"" comes to the house. We'll see how the rest of our experience plays out....this may be continued.... more
