Threadgill's is home cooking. It's a little bit ""hit or miss"" in terms of quality. Nothing beyond what you'd expect from a restaurant hit so hard by waves of people daily. If you're a ""glass half empty"" person, you'll notice that the seating is a little crowded, the food isn't always hot, the meats are sometimes overcooked, and the salads aren't perfectly washed (grit). If you're a ""glass half full"" person, you'll notice the atmosphere is cozy and fun, the food is of a delicious and tempting variety, the ""seconds"" mean there's always more on your plate, the waitstaff is downright affectionate, and the value is exceptional.
Pros: great homecooking, exceptional variety, fun atmosphere
Cons: "hit or miss" quality, confusing parking lot, sometimes crowded
