Horrible Experience! 3/31/2012

Thomasville Pediatrics has been my daughter's doctor since we moved to Thomasville almost a year ago. I really like a few of the MDs there including York, Reedy, Rob Williams, and Roberson but my last visit there caused me to lose all faith in this office...particularly the nurses. My daughter went in for a sick visit on Monday and the Dr ordered a strep test and urine culture. I was told to call back the next day and check on both. I called the following day and the nurse I spoke with said the strep culture was negative at 24 hours but she couldn't find where a urine culture had been done despite the fact that a urine sample was given and the Dr had ordered it. So I took my daughter back to the Dr to give another sample and was told to call back the following day. I was called at around 5 the next day and told that the urine culture turned up positive and that my daughter had a uti and to check with my pharmacy after 7:30 for her prescription. At 7:45 the pharmacy didn't have anything. I called the office to see what was going on and the receptionist said the Dr had to go to the hospital and therefore couldn't get to it. I expressed my concerns that this test should have been done a day earlier and that it was unacceptable for my daughter to have to wait another day to get antibiotics in her system. The receptionist said nothing could be done until the next morning. The next day I call to make sure the meds had been called in and asked who to speak to to file a complaint. Awhile later a nurse called me back to see why I was complaining and after I explained everything she began to make excuses. She says well strep tests take 48 hours anyway.. I reply that the strep test is irrelevant since my daughter has a uti that could have been treated 2 days earlier had the culture been done when it was supposed to. more

A Housecall 9/16/2006

I LOVE Thomasville Pediatrics. When my youngest was born I really did not want to go somewhere with alot of doctors, it's so impersonal, so I chose another practice. They were so snooty, stuck up, and even LIED on more than one occasion! They called me a liar,...needless to say I left the practice and told EVERYBODY how they are, I still do! We were over at The Daddy Person's brother's house one evening and something happened, I don't recall exactly what but they took my daughter to a man's house on the street behind "Uncle Ed's"????? WHAT???? Turns out it is the home of Dr Reedy from Thomasville Pediatrics. Uncle Ed had built his house for him LOL. He checked her over the best he could and the next day we went to the office for a "real exam". I was very wrong about multi doctor offices being an impersonal cattle yard! I cannot say enough praises about this office! They are WONDERFUL and very caring! I refer everyone there now. more

Anytime is fine! 1/31/2006

Having a new baby makes a person do crazy things.... like calling the doctor for every little thing! But at Thomasville Pediatrics, that's not a problem. There are more than 15 doctors in the practice. And the place is run like clockwork. It doesn't matter when you call or why you call, they always have time to help you or rest your concerns. They even have extended office hours until 8:00 pm Mon-Fri and Saturday mornings! Don't we all know that the children are rarely sick during the normal 8-5 time frame?!? So, with the extended hours and the level of service, it is worth it's weight in gold for me to drive the extra 15 miles to this office. more

Wonderful doctors office 12/12/2005

My children have been going to the same doctors office since they were born. The offices were redone a couple years ago and there is a separate waiting room for well babies, which I loved when mine were little. The nurses are very friendly and get the weight, height, and temp check quickly. The patient rooms are all decorated in different themes. The doctors always answer ALL my questions and have provided samples when I couldn't get all the prescriptions filled for all those ear infections. I would highly recommend this office! more

Best Pediatrician Around 7/11/2005

Dr. Daniel Entwistle of Thomasville and Archdale Pediatrics is the best pediatrician around! I absolutely love this pediatrician. He is a very friendly and caring person. He will explain things in a way you can understand. He gets to "know" your family, you're not just another patient to him. He truly cares for his patients needs and wants to do what is best for them. more

  • Thomasville Pediatrics was started in 1968 by Dr. David Williams, Sr and the late Dr. Charles Gilliam. Our practice has moved several times to expand to the growing community of Thomasville and local surroundings. We have spent over 40 years taking care of the children in the area and hope to have the privilege of taking care of your children for many more generations.

We opened our satellite office in the Archdale-Trinity area in 1996, to fill a need for pediatricians in Archdale, Trinity, High Point and the surrounding areas. We now have four physicians staffing the office most days. We have enjoyed caring for your children and we hope to grow and take care of the next generation.
