It is not often I write a review. However, I am compelled to WARN OTHERS of this retail establishment. Watch collecting is a hobby, and a luxury hobby. It has a high price of entry. Quality product must be supported by quality customer service and a warm inviting shopping experience. No one wants to spend $25k on a watch and leave feeling disrespected or insulted. The Sales staff is great, Rob and Chad really try hard to please. They are super guys. The PROBLEM IS THE OWNER, named ROBERT. Robert is a tyranical, egotistical, narcisistic liar. He treats people as though they are beneath him. He treats his employess like dirt and is rude, insulting and scream at them in front of customers. Robert makes snide insulting comments to customers. I have personally witnessed him lying to pressure a sale. I have personally witnessed him tell a customer that he shouldnt waste his time if not buying a watch today. I have witnessed Robert not support a product previously sold. I have seen Robert at his best and worst.\r
I feelbad for his employees that can do nothing but accept the abusive behavior. The guys that work at Watch Connection are great people who try hard, but the owner sticks his nose into everything and his obnoxious behavior ruins what may otherwise be a nice experience. Luxury Retail should be supported by luxury customer service. This concept is lost on Robert who is only interested in making his next dollar and the expense of his employees and customers.\r
I was told by a very reputable source that recently a very high end luxury watch brand pulled their product from his store for the repeated customer complaints.They transferred the dealership to another local jeweler known for good service.\r
The watch community is small and most collectors are aware of each other. Roberts reputation thoughout the USA and the world is one of an eccentric, obnoxious and irritating man who fails to understand that a long time customer is the best customer. Robert is only after the next sale, and he will step on you, his employees and his watch manufacturers to achieve it.\r
On a 1-10 scale Watch Connection gets a 9 for quality of product offered. They get a 9 for having Chad and Rob (not Robert) on staff, they get a zero 0 for experience in the store, they get a 0 for customer service, they get a zero sales support. I will never ever shop there again as there are plenty of other retailers who want to build a relationship, who understand service and support and provide a safe and warm shopping experience.\r
AVOID WATCH CONNECTION AT ALL COSTS.
