The Warren City Club

YESTERDAY(7.15.2012) MY GF AND I PURCHASED A GROUPON FOR A DINNER FOR 2 TO THE WARREN CITY CLUB. NOW, IVE LIVED IN ATL FOR 15 YRS AND HAVE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THIS PLACE. WE DECIDE TO EAT HERE FOR OUR 1YR ANNIVERSARY. THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE IS THE HIDDEN ENTRY OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD; ITS LOCATED ON THE 3RD FLOOR. THE NEXT THING I NOTICED WAS THE DECOR. THERE IS A SEXY/SOCIAL ORA IN THE ROOM. DIM LIGHTING, DEEP RED AND ORANGE WALLS, TEA LIGHTS EVERYWHERE AND A GREAT MUSIC SELECTION. WE HAD 8:30PM RESERVATIONS SO THERE WERE NOT THAT MANY PEOPLE WHICH MADE THE EVENING SEEM EVEN MORE ROMANTIC. WHAT WE ENJOYED THE MOST WAS HOW AMAZING JANELLE(WAITRESS) AND WILLIAM(CHEF) WERE. WILLIAM TOOK THE TIME TO COME FROM THE BACK OF THE HOUSE TO WELCOME US, RUN DOWN THE SPECIALS FOR THE NIGHT, AND EVEN SHARE HIS WONDERFUL SENSE OF HUMOR. THEY WERE AMAZING!!! MY GF AND I BOTH HAD THE STEAK SPECIAL AND ALTHOUGH THE MEAL WAS MADE WITH A FRIED MAC N CHEESE THE CHEF WAS SWEET ENOUGH TO CHANGE IT FOR ME AND COOK MASHED POTATOES. OH YEA, THE POTATOES WERE GREAT!!!! LOL. AFTER DINNER WE WALKED TO THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE RESTAURANT WITH OUR WINE AND ENJOYED THE VIEW OF THE STREET AND RELAXED. JANELLE CONTINUED TO CHECK UP ON US. I LOVE THAT SHE GAVE OFF A GOOD VIBE. WHILE ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CITY CLUB JANELLE REVEALED WILLIAM WASNT JUST THE CHEF, BUT HE IS ALSO THE GM. HOW OFTEN TO GET THE GM, OR CHEF AT THAT MATTER, TO SIT DOWN WITH YOU TO GO OVER THE SPECIALS AND REALLY MAKE YOU FEEL WELCOMED IN THEIR HOUSE. more

Probably one of my top 5 bars in Atlanta. It can be hit or miss though, but generally in the summer on Saturday nights it hits. Great drinks, good looking people, and one of the hottest bar tenders in Atlanta. more

The drinks were liberal, the buffet was terrific, and we just had a great time. If you want to bypass those long club lines, putting up with out of hand drunks, and want a nice experience, this is it more

We climbed those stairs above the Dark Horse, and entered into a refuge away from the masses. This is at the top of the Highlands, and a great outdoor patio, overlooking the street scene. more

We went the first time when someone suggested it to us while we were waiting in line at another crowded restaurant down the street. There was no wait and the food was great. We sat on the patio outside. Nice place. more

Had seen the video online of the Warren but was intimidated by the idea of a ""private club."" However--whether you decide to join (which we eventually did for a year) or just go during their open-to-the-public hours, the Warren is an awesome choice! Amazing food, a really cool decor and super friendly staff. It's a great place to host private events, and pretty afordable for what you get. We did our wedding reception at the Warren for 76 people and our guests ranted and raved about the food and the cocktails and the dj and the atmosphere! Almost a year later our family still talks about that prime rib!! It was such a great choice!! Kristy, the owner has great taste and is very accomodating, and chef William makes a mean burger!.... Check out their Caiparinas and Mojitos too-- they are some of the best in Atlanta! more

My friends and I decided to try out The Warren on a weekend and based on other reviews for the Warren, we really were impressed with the place, posh interior and a cozy atmosphere that will surely leave an impression of relaxation.Not to mention great food! more

There was a dining deal on Groupon a month or so ago, to join the Warren as a dining member at an incredibly reduced rate. After going with a few buddies (two who are members) last week, I feel like an idiot for not joining. The food is way better than I imagined. I had the burger and it was super-juicy and cooked medium rare, which is tough to find these days. It was also slathered in some sort of red pepper aioli with goat cheese that made it drippingly good. The fries were crispy and properly salted. Also thought the Captain Crunch crusted salmon was brilliant, pairing a kids cereal with a dish for adults. For you fellow non-members, I definitely recommend taking advantage of their open houses and open-to-the public Sunday brunches! Pros: Surprisingly great food Cons: It's not free to the public more
