A beautiful place to escape & relax 3/25/2006

WIth all the stress of everyday life, the UC Davis Arboretum is a great place which to escape. Bring a blanket, a good book, and an iPod full of tunes, and you'll be set for a nice sunny afternoon. There is a walking/biking path that follows the two sides of a creek(?), and goes through different areas of the Arboretum. Beware, however, that part of the path through the Arboretum goes right past some farm animal pens (well, UCD is a agriculture school!), so it's not always so pleasantly fragrant. :) A great place to get away and relax. more

a wonderderful relaxation spot 10/26/2005

When I first came to Davis, I got lost in the arboretum. It was a surprise for me to see something so rustic in the middle of a university. But there's lots of benches for a sit down or picnic and a bike path to just take a relaxing walk or ride. You'll also see lots of squirrels and ducks, which to me was great fun. Just learn early not to feed the animals. more

Secret Hideaway 9/9/2005

This is a great place to sneak off to if you are lucky enough to be near by. There are plenty of nooks that you can sit back and appreciate the families of ducks strolling by. It's also stretches far enough to get an excellent and peacful stroll along the stream. Highly recommend if you want some peace and quiet during a lunch break. more
