My favorite toy store 9/16/2005

Whenever my 4 yr. old wants to go to the toy store he always asks, "can we go to your favorite toy store?" and he is right, it is my favorite. The selection of the quality brands such as playmobil, bruder, melissa&doug, ryans room, etc. is great. The prices are fair and the staff is helpful with birthday party gift ideas. They also offer free gift wrap when strapped for time. I especially like that they don't have the usual fisher price, little tikes. etc. brands that you can find everywhere else. Don't miss their anniversary sale every October and if you take your little ones plan to spend time playing with the old fashioned horse carousel and the Thomas the Train , Brio Tables and some ball whoozit game that I have trouble pulling my DC from. more

Very neat toystore. 8/8/2005

Toyworks is similar to Toys West in Coddingtown, being as both shops stray away from the fad and newer electronic toys, they also don't suffer from carrying too much Barbie. Growing up in Sebastopol, I used to love to hang out in Toyworks and play with their wooden trainset and check out all the neat toys they carried. Parents looking for different toys than the fads or big names floating around today should check out this store. The store itself has an oldfashioned charm that is lost in the big wherehouse chain toystores that are everywhere. Their prices are slightly higher, but their products are much higher quality. more

:) Love it 7/25/2005

This is an adorable little store that offers wooden toys and trinkets for kids who appreciate such! There are blocks, doll furniture, and toy train pieces. It steps away from electronic commodities, and focuses on toys that will enrich your child's creativity! I always had a soft spot for their train sets. As a younger kid, I would play with the wooden marvel and absolutely LOVED it. Check it out if you want to give your kid something a little on the different side. more
