The Sandman Inn 8/17/2009

Free breakfast & free wireless internet. They also have a DVD player and you can borrow DVDs from the front desk (they have a wide selection of new releases). Mel and I decided to take advantage of the DVD player and we watched When Harry Met Sally (I loved it) and Babel (it was just okay). We rented these DVDs from Blockbuster, though, because we had seen most of the ones offered at the front desk. The mattresses were soft and the inn is a bit far from the main State street downtown area, but you can't beat the price! more

Good choice 8/15/2008

We stay at the Sandman the majority of the time when we go to Santa Barbara. The rooms are clean & somewhat affordable. It's not on the main tourist street & that makes it quieter! It's close to the freeway & many local shops & restaurants. The pool is very nice, well kept & clean. The continental breakfast is good and the customer service always good as well. more

Good motel in Santa Barbara 5/19/2008

Nice motel, clean with reasonable rates in a town that is very expensive. Get a room around the courtyard because they are the nicest. Pool and jacuzzi very nice, outdoors. Complimentary continental breakfast with room purchase.Good location near Downtown but not in heart of Downtown more

The hotel was close to everything...freeway, mall, shops, the beach, etc....the price was the most inexpensive from the others i checked out....the room wasn't too bad itself...it came with an ironing board, extra blanket and pillow, microwave, little refrigerator, and coffee machine and DVD player....I would defintelty go here againg... more
