Amazing is the only word to describe the studio and the certified instructors. Pilates is truly a total body workout and after a few sessions my flexibility, coordination, stamina, strength and posture improved. The benefits have been truly life changing. The Pilates method is ideal and requires you to engage virtually your whole body. The moves take lots of concentration so you’re engaged mentally as well as physically and then, for every move your think you’ve mastered, Pilates has another version that’s a little different and a little harder. It’s always challenging – never boring. Once you try it, you’re hooked! more

I am not always the first one to want to exercise and would dread going to the gym, but the pilates movement changed that for me. Pilates is a fun, stress free way to get fit and feel great. I have been taking pilates for about a year at the pilates movement and I can honestly say that I see a tremendous change in my body. I am more flexible, stronger and feel healthier than ever. Between the knowledgeable, friendly and patient instructors and the intimate classes, max four people, I have honed in on muscles I didn?t know I had. more

The Pilates Movement has seriously regained my faith in my ability to exercise and enjoy moving. The instructors are knowledgeable, approachable and create an environment that makes you crave coming back for more. The classes are great since they are a max of 4 people which creates an intimate atmosphere really conducive to learning.If you can splurge, the private sessions are truly an incredible personalized workout tailored perfectly to your body. more

I've been doing Pilates for more than 15 years and Pilates Movement is the best studio I've been too. Their instructors are extremely knowledgeable and professional. There are always a wide variety of daily classes for all levels. The instructors are extremely qualified and always helpful and pleasant. There is a great vibe in the studio and it is always clean! more

I've been taking classes here religiously for over three years and it completely changed the way my body looks and feels. The instructors always take into account how you feel on a given day and although they encourage us to challenge ourselves, I've never felt pressured. Not only is it a great workout but I also feel very relaxed and focused when I leave. The other clients I've met in class are also really fun to workout with. Welcoming New Pilates Studio 2/25/2006

New to the upper east side, this studio is conveniently located on the first floor of a doorman apartment building just off 3rd Avenue. Equipment is new and mat and tower equipment in a separate room from the reformers. The studio is pleasantly decorated and tranquil.
