Perfect Hair, Thanks to Danny!! 8/4/2010

Obsessed! I've been going to The Lab Salon for the last year or so... My hair has never looked better. I’ve been seeing Danny for amazing cuts and awesome blow-dries. He recently recommended the Brazilian Blowout and said it would ""change my life."" He was right! After the 1-2 hour treatment, I left with PERFECT hair that doesn't frizz. It used to take me an hour every morning to blow dry and straighten my hair... now, I just shower and leave. It has improved my life and my hair… THANK YOU!! Every single person who works at The Lab is friendly and professional. After trying a number of salons in the area, The Lab is #1 for me! more

Best Hair Salon 8/4/2010

I've been coming here for about 3 years now and I've never had anything but a positive experience.  I see Danny and he is great. The haircut & color (and occasional highlights) always look phenomenal and it grows out really well. I get compliments on my hair all the time. Once (to save money), I tried another salon. Big mistake. It didn't even come close to the quality of service I receive at The Lab Hair Salon. There's free 2 hour parking in the structure north of Brighton, between Beverly and Canon. more

LOVE The Lab Salon!! 8/4/2010

I have now been seeing Danny at The Lab Salon for a couple of years, and I won't have anyone else touch my hair! He has taken me from long to short, and now we are going long again, and he makes me look fabulous every step of the way! Danny has amazing talent and knows what works best for you. And, Danny has a way that makes his haircuts grow out really well, so I only have to make appointments about every 3 months. I can be completely obsessive about my hair, and I used to change hairdressers all the time. Not anymore! Go Danny! more

Awesome Salon 8/4/2010

So yesterday I got a great haircut, color and blow dry by Danny. Seriously, it's the best haircut I've had... EVER! It's beautiful, full of great movement, and the color is unique but elegant. I love my hair!! To add to the greatness, the prices are totally reasonable for 90210. Why the hell should anyone go anywhere else? Go here!!!! more

I wanted to try hair extensions but I was very apprehensive. I had a consultation with Valarie, she was so knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. My extensions had just the right look and are so natural . Valarie even came in on a Sunday when one of the extensions had come loose, she was so sweet she didn't mind at all. I would give her my highest recommendation. Pros: very caring and meticulous about her work Cons: none except you can't wait for next appointment! more

Valarie is a MUST!!! 3/19/2010

Valarie is amazing, I walked in the lab salon and had a consultation with valarie in regards to removing the blue black out of my hair but I was scared of my hair falling off. She recommended doing the brazilian blow out right after my color lift. She said that it would really reverse any past damage and give me the silkyness my dry hair so needed. I trusted her and truly am amazed with the results. I love my brown shade and the texture of my hair is unbelievable..she is my stylist for all my hair needs now, I just booked a haircut today. I was referred to Valarie by my friend who gets the Brazilian by her, which I recommend to anyone who wants a healthy straightening treatment! I got extensions done by Valarie and I look and feel amazing. She is really meticulous and really cares about what your hair looks like. People don’t believe that i have extensions in my hair! she really knows what she is doing. She also fixed my color which im so grateful for! finally I AM IN GOOD HANDS! I cant stand when stylist slack off after you become a regular, I have waited five times for me to go there to write this review and her consistency and professionalism really deserves two thumbs up++++ she still treats me like the first time. Pros: VALARIE Cons: you wont be able to get your hair done anywhere else anymore more

awesome haircut 1/9/2010

I just moved out to LA and I had no idea what salon I should go to, and I can be pretty fussy about my hair. I looked up The Lab hair salon on citysearch and thought I would give them a try and called for an appointment. They hooked me up with David who did an AMAZING job with my hair and it came out perfect and exactly how i wanted it. The man knows how to texturize! I will be going there for a haircut again! Bad cut, lowered self esteem 11/17/2009

I'm still trying to help my girlfriend move past her butcher job. She had long gorgeous hair till Danny, who i think is the manager or something, cut it into this mushroom type shape. Now she is so sad about her weird cut and I have to blow it out for her every few days just to get the mushroom funky shape layers to lay flat. Danny was also mean to her and made her feel like an old lady. While he was cutting her hair and pretending to be friendly he commented on her crows feet and circles under her eyes asking if it was hereditary. Who asked you? She just got quiet and uncomfortable. Women go to the salon to feel good about themselve, not to feel like sh**. Now she is totally freaked out by the comments made on her skin and eyes and she much too young to feel that way. Next time you chop some ones hair to pieces maybe you can keep your insulting thoughts to yourself. Pros: near local surgeons for the after effect of Danny's insults! Cons: I have to straighten my B.F.s hair the last 2 months. more

WOW!!!!! YOU NEED TO ASK FOR VALARIE GABRIEL!!! 8/11/2009

I was reffered to Valarie by one of her usual clients and I MUST say that just like my name says I AM SUPER PICKY!. I made an apt with her and I was soooooo pleased. First of all, she is always on time despite her busy schedule! she listens to my concerns and most importantly what I want my hair to look like when I leave. I had so many experiences with stylist doing what they want to do and get scissor happy with my hair BUT NOT HER.... She recommended the Brazilian treatment which saved my hair! those of you who have not tried it, GO FOR IT, my hair is now so manageable but I love her blowdries so much, I now get one every week. Valarie definetly fits the profile of a Beverly Hills stylist and the LAB SALON deserves her..You can thank me later.. Pros: YOU'LL NEVER FEEL SEXIER! Cons: NONE more

I go to Damo, and he is great. The salon is really nice, but not stuffy....I would use the word ""hip"" to describe the decor. Plasma's at every station are a nice touch. Pros: Staff & Atmosphere more

Best Cut & Color! 6/23/2009

Wow! What a fantastic experience I had with Damo and Erik at the Lab Salon for my color, cut, and style!!! [I was referred by my best friend]\r \r I walked in and it was by far better than I expected from what my girlfriend described. I was greeted by the most friendly guy, I think his name is Eddie. He made me feel welcome immediately...not usually common in upscale salons in BH! \r \r You'll never look and feel better than the way I felt with them. NO MATTER WHAT I DO WITH MY HAIR, IT LOOKS FANTASTIC! I felt that I had to share my experience with everybody, that's why I wrote this review! Pros: Amazing customer service and style. Cons: Parking - try to valet if you're spending the day in BH. more

Amazing Hair Salon 5/14/2009

I came here because the reviews on citysearch were so good, and it did not dissapoint. From the atmosphere to the stylist's every detail has been thought of....they even have flat screen tv's at each station! I love my hair!! It has never looked better. Pros: flat screen tv's, great stylists more

LA home of Schuyler - my haricut guy 4/19/2009

I travel a lot. I'm usually out of town at least 2 weeks a month, sometimes nationally, sometimes internationally. But I always wait to get my hair cut by Schuyler. It is one of those things I had to learn the hard way. Trial and error. I endured many sub-par haircuts by people in the area at various salons, until I finally found Schuyler. I have also occasionally had to get a cut on the road, and always regretted it. Now I just wait until I can get it done right. He's cut my hair for over three years to date. Schuyler listens to what I want done and does a great job. He's a blast to talk to and always makes me laugh. Consistent, cuts look hot, and the price is right. My search is over. Pros: He's the only person I let cut my hair Cons: None to date more

A great place to get your hair done 4/3/2009

I have not trusted anyone to do my hair in years. I decided to take a chance on Schuyler at the Parlor and I will not go to anyone else ever again. He gave me the best hair cut I have ever had. I can wear my hair curly or straight and it looks good no matter what. He is also the master of color. I will go to him to cut and color my hair from now on. If you want great hair....ask for Schuyler. Pros: Schuyler works there Cons: I have to drive 6 hours to see him more

I made a commitment to pay the money and get my hair done to see if made a difference in my personal life. I met Schuyler, who I thought was gay, but alas, he is entertainingly not! He listens to the clients, asks for feedback, and tries to accommodate your every need, dislike, want, and issue. I am high maintenance when it comes to my hair. VERY HIGH MAINTENANCE. Schuyler did a wonderful job making my already beautiful hair even more beautiful. I have recommended coworkers to him and they loved him as well."" It is really hard to find a specialist to deal with your hair nowadays. All I was looking for is to be listened to and see the result afterwards. \r SCHUYLER, the hair dresser, made my hair look so great by giving it treatment! I felt such a huge difference from what my hair used to look like and feel like.
