The Computer Zone

A few years ago I bought my computer from his store and NEVER had any problems with it. I've added more ram and a larger hdd recently and went back to him to purchase it. He helped me decide how much more ram to get and how large or a drive to upgrade since I do a great deal of video and photo editing. If you want excellent service, low prices and a friendly person then that's the store to go to. He won't rip you off unlike those "big name" stores near Columbia Center where you'll be charged $400, $500 or $600+ and STILL have the same problems PLUS more. more

Sept 2005: I hired the store Owner to build me a new PC tower. He took my old tower in trade, assuring me everything would be transferred from the old to the new. He also said he needed payment up front to buy the parts (!?). What I got was a defective computer made with USED parts! He also sold off my old hard drive before ensuring everything was correctly saved, and he managed to lose everything I had on the old computer - years of pictures, tax returns, files, etc. He was obnoxious and rude about everything! When I asked for my money back, I had wait 3 days because he said he never used checks (?!), and then tried to give me wads of crumpled up bills. I also had to fight him to get him to pay me the value of the computer I traded in, since according to him, it was "gone". NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS!!! more

It's pretty easy to find parking here. The owner runs the place. He's a former Microsoft employee, very versed and knowledgeable in the computer business. The store was stocked with a variety of accessories; towers, mother boards, additions, video cards, sound cards, etc. There were catalogs to order out of if you were looking for something specific. There were maintenance service plans available. He fixed some things for a customer while I was there and it took no time at all. more
