Best massage therapist ever! 12/9/2009

Kate is an extremely talented massage therapist that has always been able to work out my aches and pains. I have had back and hip problems over the years, and Kate is the only therapist that has been able to help me. She is also very friendly and reasonably priced. Pros: Incredible deep tissue work Cons: None more

High Quality Massage! 7/3/2009

Kate at the Austin Bodyworker is fantastic! I have been getting massages for over 10 years, in 3 different states, and she is the best yet. It took me a long time to find a massage therapist in Austin (i.e. I am very picky) and I am so happy that I finally found her. Kate is super professional and has an outstanding knowledge of the body and how to treat it. I would highly recommend her. Pros: Professional, knowledgeable, great deep tissue Cons: None, always great! more

The Best Massage Clinic in Austin 11/7/2007

As a bodyworker and athlete, I am very picky when it comes to finding therapeutic massage that is above average. Kate of the Austin Bodyworker exceeds all of my expectations and more. She is not only highly skilled and knowledgeable, but she is personable and deeply caring. She is able to address both overuse issues related to daily life, as well as those related to my needs as a cyclist and yoga practitioner. I feel 100% confident that my needs will be met with every session because she spends the time to sit and listen to specific requests. I highly recommend the Austin Bodyworker to anyone interested in having truly therapeutic massage. Kate is clearly passionate and confident about her work, and it shows with each and every treatment! Pros: Not a "spa" atmosphere, no tipping policy more

A REAl massage therapist 11/5/2007

I am almost always disappointed with massages that I have paid top dollar for at resorts, etc. Deep tissue is never really deep tissue and I always leave feeling like the massage therapist could have done more. Not with Kate. Kate is absolutely the best massage therapist I have been to - she asks questions and then really focuses on my problem areas. She's not only a great massage therapist but a great person too! When I need a massage, I plan on going to The Austin Bodyworker - only! Pros: Service, follow-up, ease of apopintment more

In the Hands of an Expert 11/4/2007

I was surprised when my doctor sent me to massage therapy, but becoming Kate's client turned out to be one of the best things I've done for my health. Her massage therapy sessions provided immediate relief from my head, neck, and arm pain and she taught and encouraged me to get better on my own through stretching, exercise, and posture. The chronic headaches I initially suffered from are gone. You can be assured that you will be in the hands of a very talented expert at the Austin Bodyworker. more

Best Massage Therapy in Austin 11/3/2007

I highly recomend the Austin Bodyworker to anyone looking for exceptional skill in their therapist. Kate's ability to not only find and treat issues but to explain how they can be solved is what has kept me healthy as a runner and cyclist. Kate is different than other therapists I have seen in the past because she can assess the problem I'm having and why I'm having it without a lot of guess work. Because of this I feel comfortable and confident when I see her that I will get the right treatment for my problem. I never leave her office wishing she did something else or worked more specifically. She has helped me with shoulder, knee and back issues and has kept me in training. Kate stands out way above the rest in this field. Pros: Therapist skill, professional atmosphere, friendly environment, parking more

Excellent massage therapist 11/2/2007

I was a regular client of Kates in Boston prior to her relocation to Austin and was thrilled to hear that she started Austin Bodyworker. She is one of the most skilled massage therapists I have ever been too. Kate is both knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend her to anyone. more

The best clinical massage therapy you will find in Austin! 11/1/2007

Simply the Best; Miracle Worker; Amazing; etc. etc. ? I have been seeing Kate professionally for a couple of years and can put these accolades to paper without hesitation. When I met Kate, I was in a great deal of pain from degenerative hip issues that over time had impacted my muscles, gait and overall well-being. In other words, I was a mess! Kate patiently worked on my tight beyond belief muscles and the amazing array of trigger points and slowly but surely the muscles loosened and became more flexible. The trigger points from the golf ball size to the tiny were attacked and conquered. As a direct result of Kate?s work my pain lessened enormously and my gait for the first time in a long time was close to normal providing a huge improvement in my quality of life. The bottom line is if you have ?issues? Kate can help! Pros: Knowledgeable, Talented, Sensitive to individual needs more

Best massage ever!! 10/24/2007

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a fellow massage therapist and have found Kate to be a miracle-worker. I came in having pain in my neck and shoulder area and left 100 times better. Kate knew exactly where my problem areas were and went right to work. I have seen her twice now and each time I feel much better. I am so grateful to have found such a professional therapist. I look forward to our next visit and recommend her highly. Thanks again and see you next week! Pros: very knowledgable, very professional Cons: none more

Hands down, best massage in town 10/15/2007

By day I am a busy VP of financial company here in Austin. In my home life, I am training for my 5th Ironman competition, this time in New Zealand in March. I called here because I was in pain from my bike the day before, I tweaked something along the ride in my neck and back. Kate got me right in, got me on the table and worked her magic. Her knowledge of anatomy and the fact that she has worked with other Ironman competitors really put me at ease. My back and neck are great, and I know I will be working Kate's massages into my regular training schedule. It was truly a blessing that I found Kate! Pros: Flexible scheduling, highly knowledgeable, very friendly, easy to find & park Cons: none more

Look No Further 9/26/2007

After just one visit, I knew I had found my place to go that's going to help me get through the Chicago Marathon Austin Distance Challenge. Kate was incredibly knowledgeable of the muscles and pressure points, and I can't remember a time when my body has felt better than it did following her work. I've had many a massages in my athletic career, and none compare to the level that she delivered. Not only are they experts at their trade, but are incredibly accommodating and extremely friendly! Pros: Effectiveness, Atmosphere, Accommidation Cons: n/a more

I have NEVER felt this good after a massage!! 7/26/2007

I love massage and I didn't want to go and chance it at one of the thousands of spa's in Austin. So, I called this place and got right in! From the look of the website, it AT LEAST looks like these people know what they are doing. OH YEAH, THEY KNOW!! I was pleasantly suprised with how modern and comfortable the office was from the look of the building. Kate (she's the owner) welcomed me in, talked to me about why I was hurting and then the fun began! First, I loved the fact that the music was not Enya or anything like that, but still relaxing. Second, Kate found every area that was bothering me and beat/coaxed it into submission--it was great! I am two days out from the massage, and STILL feeling great. It's a miracle. I have already booked another appointment and am totally looking forward to feeling this good for a long time. I completely recommend it to anybody I can find! Pros: Great service, great people, ample parking! Cons: n/a more
